She will share the findings of her research ‘From Disaster to Desister? Insights from individuals with lived experience of sexual recidivism’.

The first speaker is Mark O'Sullivan: writer, comedian, survivor of sexual abuse, and a long‑standing advocate for Circles UK. Mark will speak about how his own experience as a victim of sexual abuse has shaped his commitment to supporting organisations that work with those who have perpetrated such harm.

It is great to see that Circles are still continuing in Canada despite funding challenges. Well done to our colleague Canadian Coordinators and Volunteers.

Circles UK welcomes that the government has said it will introduce a new law to force tech firms to prevent children from taking or sharing n**e images on mobile devices.

The government said it will legislate "as soon as they can" but may "reassess" its plans if firms make the desired changes sooner.

Circles UK is deeply saddened to learn of Lady Val’s sudden passing. She will be remembered with respect and affection for her tireless commitment to improving conditions in prisons and championing the successful reintegration of people back into their communities. Her advocacy, compassion, and determination have left a lasting legacy, and we are grateful for the impact she made in a field where her voice truly mattered.
