We've got our lovely local Paul Le Keux joining us for this year's Portland Fair 2026! Ready for a cabaret night of 'Royal Mannerisms'?

A Midlands transplant and island resident of five years. As The Groove Consortium and Paulo’s Hoodoo Jukebox, he has spent nearly 20 years producing community arts events, DJing festivals, PRIDE rallies, carnivals and fundraisers.

With two decades of teaching experience and a passion for bringing people together through music and creativity, you might just spot him DJing outside Quiddles - weather permitting.

We’re excited to announce Ella Yolande as part of Portland Fair in That Other Place 2026.

Ella works across video, sculpture, and textiles to create immersive installations informed by q***r ecologies, colonial botanical histories, and multi-species ways of being. Her practice explores plants, bodies, and resilience through site-specific works, alternative mapping, and plant-based processes such as medicinal and dye-making.

Joining us at Portland Fair in That Other Place 2026 is Alexi Marshall.

Based in Hastings and trained at the Slade School of Art, Alexi works across print, painting, mosaic, and embroidery to explore womanhood, folklore, and the blurred space between myth and lived experience. Her large-scale, hand-made works embrace the physicality of process- traces of the body, gesture, and material becoming part of the narrative itself.

Through layered, theatrical compositions, she builds new mythologies that weave together autobiography and archetype, often reclaiming and reworking traditional stories through a feminist lens.

Get ready to see Portland in a way you've never seen it before...We’re delighted to announce Chloe Mantripp, Mike McCallum, and Sophie Greenwood as part of Portland Fair in That Other Place 2026.

Together, the trio create immersive, playful work inspired by folk stories, counterculture, and a mischievous resistance to authority. Blending physical theatre, circus, clowning, found objects, and site-specific performance, they build richly textured worlds that shift between the personal, political, and absurd.
