Following the difficult decision to cancel our usual Ladies’ Night, we are pleased to offer an alternative in the form of a Sunday luncheon on 10th May—an informal gathering that retains the same spirit of appreciation.

This occasion provides an opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to all the ladies in our lives for their continued support throughout the year, while also marking the culmination of Worshipful Master David Paynes’ year in the Chair.

His dedication and stewardship have been evident throughout, supported in no small part by his good lady, Tamara, whose constant encouragement deserves special recognition. Please do join us for what promises to be a relaxed, enjoyable, and appreciative Sunday meal.

It was a Bavarian bonanza last night at Vindelis! Something completely different, with many embracing the the theme to the extent standing next to a man at the bar in lederhosen and a little green hat seemed positively normal!

There were of course raffle prizes and a stein 🍻 holding contest, laughing and toasting 🥂.

And the band absolutely made the night! What hugely talented and wonderful entertainers! The Oompah Experience combined traditional Bavarian music and playing, with modern tunes we all knew and could sing along too! 🎉

There was a great party atmosphere and so much smiling, singing and laughing, cheeks will be aching and throats sore this morning! 🥳

Thanks to all those who came and hope everyone remembers to change their clocks! ⏰

“The Tyler’s Watch”

Outside the door, the Tyler waits.
His place is hidden; in the outside world, he guards the door.
A sentinel, custodian, watcher and waiter. His work to ensure those within remain undisturbed.

While others are in lead roles, his part remains off stage, yet sometimes heard.
One hand to his sword, an ear to the door, hearing the reverberation of familiar words, other hand ready to echo a knock from beyond.

Through a long evening he often sits.
Learning words spoken for centuries, checking batteries in torches, quietly opening a packet of sweets, always listening, ever aware.

In the stillness of the corridor, the Tyler keeps his watch a symbol of diligence, discipline, and devotion, where duty and reflection meet.

Just over a month to go and our WM Dave has had is lederhosen back from the Tanner’s!

Preparation and plans are well underway, with a guest list filling up.
