We're so pleased to be able to support the Bournemouth and Poole Library of Things!

We were gifted a power tool set which we were glad to pass on to them - once they are up and running it will be one of the many things you'll be able to borrow.

They are still in need of some of the items below, so please do consider donating any that you may no longer need...

We are starting a library of things. These are the items we need to help us launch. If you have any of these items contact us and we can arrange collection.

We will also be looking for any other diy items, tools, hobbies, party hire kits etc. so if you have any other items you think would be beneficial to us please let us now

Fun Fact Friday –in the UK last year over 600,000 bits of litter were removed from beaches (and that’s probably only the stuff that gets counted!). We bring grassroots environmentalism to the heart of local communities, and help local people start their journey towards sustainable living - all while helping other charities and organisations benefit from donated waste.

Many common household items have a value to fundraisers, and our teams work to get those things to where they will benefit and away from the waste system.

We can support volunteering from just 30 minutes per month, but would ideally love you to give 2-3 hours per month - please just drop us a message and we can discuss...

We've got a specific need of volunteers in , , and at the moment, but all of our teams are really grateful for new team members!

Fun Fact Friday – it is estimated that approximately 250,000 tents are abandoned at UK festivals annually and as many as 90% of those will end up in landfill or incineration (that’s around 875 tonnes of tents). If you are going to a festival or camping this year you consider hiring a tent, if you buy your own make sure you bring it home and look after it – or pass it on as soon as you can if you know you won’t use it again. Look into hiring and recycling options online.

Fun Fact Friday – and we are thinking about holidays - apparently around 721 million single use plates of thrown away every year (that’s around 11 for every single person in the country!). What can you do – well the easiest thing is to stop using single use plates – we get it, it does seem a drag but it really is the best way. If you are having a big gathering and don’t have enough ask people to bring their own or look at hiring.
