Shaftesbury author Kirsty Heap is inviting children to bring along their imaginations for a story-making session.

Kirsty creates books for neurodiverse or dyslexic parents and children. Her books have no words. Instead, pictures prompt the storytelling, so every time a story is told, it can be different.

That means everybody can share a unique experience, and that’s what makes the story special.

At this session, Kirsty will help children create a tale inspired by local shops, Shaftesbury landmarks and favourite foods.

It’s suitable for children aged four and over, and children under eight must be accompanied by an adult.

It’s on Saturday the 20th of June, from 11am until midday, at the library on Bell Street.
