Poole Old Lifeboat Museum The Old Lifeboat Museum chronicles the history of Poole's Lifeboat Service from 1865.

It showcases the historic RNLB Thomas Kirk Wright, known for her role as a Dunkirk Little Ship.

The Poole Old Lifeboat Museum is now closed for remedial work on both the RNLB THOMAS KIRK WRIGHT and the boathouse itself.

Hopefully we will reopen before Easter 2027.

Due to the ongoing protests in Poole it is with regret that we have to close the Museum until the protests cease.

This is following several incidents of protesters verbally assaulting our volunteers in and around Poole

I can now say that we are now open Daily from 10:30 to 16:00

We are counting down to closing on Wednesday 7 October. This is allow work to be undertaken on the RNLB Thomas Kirk Wright, in order to maintain the lifeboat. During the winter closure other works will be undertaken to the building. Come and grab your RNLI goodies! We hope to reopen on March 9th 2027
