These deliveries were made possible by your donations, which helped cover both the cost of the food and the transportation expenses. There are no words that can truly express how grateful these people are to you. You feed them, you support them, and you give them hope. 🫶🏻🇬🇧🥹🇺🇦❤️

❤️🇺🇦❤️ Lazzers summer camp!
Laz has arrived safely in Kyiv tonight after staying overnight with Sandra’s friends in Lviv. Sandra picked him up and took him to another camp quite nearby where the children were finishing their final day. Larry being Larry got stuck in and seemingly had a real talent for table tennis (Forest Gump springs to mind) 😂 They then travelled from Lviv to Kyiv about 7 hours)
I asked him tonight is everything ok? His words “Perfect love, I’m having so much fun the kids are amazing, I can’t wait for our camp to start next week”
Larry’s positive, infectious and fun loving attitude is just what these children need 🙏

As many of you will remember, we launched a fundraiser for two wonderful twin girls, Valeriia and Daria. https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/susan-turner-611?utm_medium=CF&utm_source=CL

We faced many challenges because the girls are now older, and the standard size of the available double wheelchair was no longer suitable for them. The larger size, designed for children aged 7 and above, turned out to be much more expensive—around £8,000. Even at that price, very few manufacturers were willing to take on the project because of the unique modifications required to meet the girls’ individual needs.

It is a large amount of money, but these girls are truly special, and many people have come to know them and want to support them.

Another generous donor recently contacted us and expressed a desire to help with the purchase of this wheelchair. As a result, the other donor will cover the cost of the wheelchair frame, while we will pay for the seating system, upper components, and all the necessary accessories.

Today, after many months of work and cooperation, we finally submitted the order to the manufacturing department. The wheelchair will be ready in approximately two months, and our girls will finally be able to enjoy walks outdoors with their mother in comfort and safety.

We would like to sincerely thank every one of you who responded to our appeal. Thank you for proving that the world is full of kind and caring people, and that these girls are not alone in their very special journey. ❤️🇺🇦🇬🇧❤️

Good luck to our Lazzer who is travelling to Rzeszow Poland today before taking the bus to Lviv. 🇺🇦Overnight stay in Lviv before travelling with Sandra to the rehabilitation teen summer camp in the forest north of Kyiv. 🇺🇦
A week long camp focussing on “back to nature” arts and craft, fishing, camp fires and team fun. Larry, our lovable Irishman, will be in his element.
Puma have supported with tents, sleeping bags, ground mats and boxes and boxes of the most amazing arts, crafts and teen activities. (Plus lots of candy and treats 🫣)
It’s so important to offer these children an escape (if only for a week) from the horrors and worries they experience every single day.😢
Have a great time Larry you’ll make memories that will last a life time

🇺🇦❤️🧁🍰☕️ A wonderful first day by the team at Harewood House … lots of freshly made sandwiches , lots of bacon baps consumed as well as wonderful cakes and quiches and copious amounts of tea and coffee!
The team in today headed up by our wonderful Kathy were Melinda, Jackie, Anne, Marie, Lorraine and Rhianan .🙏
Sue and the warehouse team beavered away all day up the unit and I know have already made an amazing start of this runs pallets .. Sue will do the update in a bit.
Harewood House is on all week please pop along and show your support (the raffle is only £1 a ticket and the prizes are totes amazing) plus its donation day up the unit tomorrow and we really need donations at the moment .

The first shipments from Puma have already been delivered to Chernihiv, Kramatorsk, Lutsk, Cherkasy and hospitals in Dnipro. Just over a week ago, your aid was still in Plymouth, and now it has already reached the frontline regions.

So, PUMA has now been recognised at the national level in Ukraine. Let me tell you a little more about the significance of this award.

The winners of the National Competition “Charitable Ukraine 2025: Charity in Defence of Ukraine” were selected by an expert panel in May 2026. Out of 1,698 applicants, three winners were chosen in each of the 27 categories https://vboabu.org.ua/news/8781.html

In the category “Aid from Abroad,” there were around 100 nominees, but our beloved PUMA (Plymouth Ukraine Medical Aid) from the United Kingdom was selected as one of the winners, alongside two other charitable organisations from the United States and Greece.

This award is far more than a certificate or a token of appreciation. It is national recognition of the efforts of the entire PUMA family — everyone who knits blankets, sorts donations, gives financially, packs supplies, transports aid, fundraises, or simply prays for Ukraine. This award belongs to all of you, our dear friends.

Our wonderful Ali and Sue had the honour of representing the entire PUMA family yesterday in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, among distinguished volunteers from Ukraine and abroad, government representatives, diplomats, community leaders, and Ukrainian artists.

This is an event of national importance, and I am incredibly proud that our country has recognised PUMA’s contribution as support that directly helps defend Ukraine and save lives.

Thank you to every one of you. Please do not stop. Continue supporting our tireless Ali, because behind her dedication stand hundreds, and perhaps thousands, of Ukrainian lives that have been helped and saved.

Today has been a truly incredible day! ❤️

A truck carrying vital humanitarian aid from PUMA has safely arrived in Uzhhorod and has already been unloaded. But the good news does not stop there.

Two Nova Poshta trucks have already collected pallets of aid that will soon reach those who need it most: people in the frontline regions of Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Kramatorsk and Kharkiv, as well as communities in Kyiv, Odesa, Dymer, Lutsk and Zhashkiv.

Every time we witness this chain of kindness—from those collecting supplies thousands of miles away, to the volunteers, drivers and aid workers delivering them across Ukraine—we are reminded of how much can be achieved when people come together.

What PUMA is doing is simply extraordinary. Their support saves lives, brings hope, and reminds Ukrainians that they are not alone.

Today, we ask for your prayers and kind thoughts for our dear Ali and Sue. May God keep them safe on their journey to Kyiv, where they will receive a well-deserved award in recognition of their dedication, compassion, and unwavering support for Ukraine and its people. 💙💛🙏
