Brethren and friends, it is with deep sadness we share the passing of our Lodge Secretary, W.Bro Paul Watson, to the Grand Lodge Above this morning.

Initiated into the St Andrew Lodge No. 4276 on 1 April 2005, Paul served with dedication, integrity and quiet strength. He lived respected and died regretted.

We extend our heartfelt sympathies to his family at this difficult time. Further details will follow once known.

May eternal rest be granted to our Brother and let perpetual light shine upon him.

📣 Appointment of Provincial Grand Charity Steward – Province of Devonshire

The Provincial Grand Master, RW Bro Nicholas A Ball, is pleased to announce the appointment of W Bro Andrew Hall, PPrSGW, as Provincial Grand Charity Steward.

Andrew has given many years of dedicated service to the Province, most recently as Provincial Senior Grand Warden (2024–2025).

Following the appointment of W Bro Anthony Eldred, PAGDC, as Assistant Provincial Grand Master, it was essential to find someone to take on this important role.

💙 Charity and service are at the very heart of Freemasonry, and the Province is confident that Andrew will continue to exemplify these values.

It is with great sadness that I have to inform you of the passing this morning (15th August 2025) of W. Bro. John Smerdon PAGDC. He was a great friend to the St. Andrew 4276, a true Gentleman and great Freemason, who genuinely lived respected and died regretted. May he rest in the eternal peace and light of the East.

Massive Congratulations to W. Bro. John Patrick Clendinning our Lodge Senior Past Master, who will be promoted to Past Junior Grand Warden in the Mark Master Masons degree.
This wonderful event will happen in September making John a Right Worshipful Brother.
