We’ve had a fantastic day in typical Scottish weather β˜”οΈπŸ’¨πŸŒ¨οΈ at the Scottish Disability Sport National Junior Athletics SuperTeams Championships in Grangemouth, delivered in partnership with Athletics 🎽

Our Perth & Kinross team were made up by Ryan McDiarmid and Rebecca Hunter from Perth Strathtay Harriers and Daisy Dickson and Bilal Shakoor Strathearn Harriers with all achieving personal bests in various disciplines πŸ’ͺ

They all had a great time competing in a series of run, jump and throw events in pools against athletes from across the country 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Well done to Rebecca for winning the silver medalπŸ₯ˆin the Frame Running pool and Daisy for winning bronzeπŸ₯‰in her pool πŸ’ͺπŸ‘πŸ»

What a day for our Boccia players at the Scottish Boccia Championships in Edinburgh!! πŸ”΄πŸ”΅

Perth Eagles Boccia player, Alex Medley has just been crowned Scottish Boccia Champion - BC1 class - to retain his titleπŸ†πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ» Congratulations Alex!! πŸ˜€

And Perth Eagles Boccia player, Becky Tyler, with ramp operator, Fiona Tyler, have just been crowned Scottish Boccia Champions - BC3 class πŸ†πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

Both players have qualified for the UK Championships taking place in Cardiff in November πŸ˜ƒ

It was a great day from Perth Eagles / PKDS Kinross player, Duncan McIntyre and PKDS Aberfeldy player, Emma McManamon who won the silver πŸ₯ˆand bronze πŸ₯‰medals respectively in the open physical disability section πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

Well done to Ross Hatten and Murrin Widley from the Eagles who performed well throughout the group stages πŸ‘πŸ»

Well done and thank you to PKDS referees Graeme Doig, Stewart Lobban and Catherine Carruthers who were officiating matches all day long πŸ˜€ and Lisa Sanderson, Sophie Mcfee and Conrad Carruthers who were timers πŸ‘πŸ»

It’s great to see our Kiltwalk team is growing πŸ˜ƒ

We are doing the Dundee Kiltwalk 2026 on Sunday 16 August to raise funds to support our No Cost participation approach, provide free sports events, provide free coach and volunteer education opportunities, purchase adaptive equipment & support more people with disabilities to get active πŸ’ͺ

Our team are taking on the challenge by walking, using wheelchairs, powerchairs, k-walkers, trikes, frame-runners, racing chairs and many more πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

Kinross-shire Trishaws and Community Cycling SCIO are excited to be delivering an open day to showcase their amazing new fleet of tricycles 🚴🏻

Everyone is welcome to come along and try the trikes which are suitable for adults and older teenagers.

Congratulations to Elis Sparre-Rutherford who has had an amazing time at the Dwarf Sports Association UK National games in Birmingham where he competed in various sports over 3 days πŸ˜ƒ

Elis competed in 4 track & field events, cycled 400m on velodrome, played in team hockey and football matches before swimming 25m in backstroke, butterfly and freestyle πŸŽ½πŸš΄πŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸ‘βš½οΈπŸŠπŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

He brought home 3 silvers in swimming and 8 medals in total πŸ’ͺπŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

Elis swims at our PKDS swim session in Aberfeldy each week with Coach Anita and can’t wait to get involved in his next competition πŸŠπŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

Well done Elis, we’re all very proud of you πŸ˜ƒ
