⚠️ VEGETATION CLEARANCE: BALLO ⚠️

Hi folks, beginning tonight (Thursday 13th Aug) we'll be working on clearing vegetation at Ballo. We'll probably need a few sessions at this, but tonight we're beginning with Korma/F&F then on to Spicy Bits, then Corona if time allows.

Please keep an eye out for signs and ideally avoid these trails if there's a banner at the top 🙏

Small but effective team out cutting back & clearing sightlines on Deuchey bike park tonight.

Perth trail crew have been busy!
Roadside Attraction, Blair Witch & the bottom of Smilet have had haircuts 💈
Offlets on the climb to Smiler/Back Breaker & Armageddon trailhead cleared & ready for the rain.....
Aaaaannnnddd......... some trail name signs to help folks navigate their way around the hill 😁
Names are based on the OG names given by the builders so may be different to what you know but now we'll all be sure what trail we're taljing about! 😂

Thursday night the Hally crew gave 'Old Hally' a wee bit of a spruce up. They dealt with some drainage issues & tweaked a few areas.

Some of the recent action over at Hallyburton. On Tuesday night the dig team worked on Roganjosh, here is the update.

The trail had suffered damage due to a section of fence being down and a herd of cows invading the trail. 🐄🐄🐄🐄 They had trampled over a boggy section and damaged drainage that we had previously installed.

We made contact with the local farmer who went in and retrieved the cows. On Tuesday we repaired the fence, then reinstated the drainage and got the trail back into a rideable condition.

There is still some work to do to tidy things up and clear seasonal vegetation to get it running prime.

If anyone wants to come and help then our next dig night is scheduled for Thursday 2nd July.

Our trail crew were out at Perth tonight and thats the water bars reinstated on the climb to the trailhead at Smiler/Backbreaker/Armageddon.
They should now guide water away from the trail and prevent it becoming a slopfest.
Smiler also got a good 'haircut', opening up sightlines & clearing back the wee whippers.
All in all, a very productive evening

We were extremely humbled to receive a cheque in the post recently from team 'Use it or Lose It' from the Alyth Quiz League.
