We're organising a series of "ride with the trail crew" days this Autumn!

Come ride and chat with the crews who maintain the trails in Ballo, Dunkeld, Perth and Pitmedden.

Maybe you'll discover some new trails, meet new riding buddies, or even sign up for an upcoming dig day.

So many possibilities....

Dates coming soon!

If the tools are calling your name, RSVP for that volunteer trail day and read this.

⚠ TRAIL MAINTENANCE - BALLO ⚠

First dig of the winter season tomorrow at Ballo, and we'll be working to repair a storm damaged corner and close off Strava lines on the lower part of "Corona".

Keep an eye out for the signs and banners, and if you want to drop by to see what's going on, have a chat or help out, please ride slowly from the middle fire road down.

Cheers!

TTA AGM 2026

Massive thanks to Scott at Dundee Cycle Hub for letting us play on the pump track, giving us a grand tour & hosting us last night.  The facilities are brilliant; we would 100% recommend getting down there to check it out.

AGM update

Thanks to all of those who came along, it was great to see everyone & get an update on everything. What a year it has been!

The main talking point was how to get more folk out helping us on the trails.  We really need the humans to help. We have plenty of equipment but we still need you guys.

We have now created a community on WhatsApp. This means you will get up to date information about any digs straight to your phone. Almost like a personal invitation.

You can also choose which area or areas you'd like to help with.  We are hoping this is going to increase engagement.

Please DM if you can't see the WhatsApp link & please pass it on to your buddies. These amazing Tayside trails need more amazing people. And that is YOU!

Hi Folks! The Scottish Endurance (Horse) Riding Club have an event taking place at and around Deuchny this weekend (5th/6th Sept) .

There's no trail closures, but please be aware there will be a LOT more horses than usual on the fire roads, so take care exiting trails and around the woods and access paths.

Horses scare easily (and kick hard!), so give them plenty room and be ready to slow down or stop if needed. The SERC folks are a great bunch and their previous events have all run smoothly so lets keep the good relations with other forest users going ❤

TTA AGM | 14th September 2026
Monday 14th September 6pm – 9pm
Dundee Cycle Hub Indoor Bike Park, Bell St, Dundee

Come along for a catch up about what’s been happening, what we’ve got planned, and what you’d like to see TTA working on going forward.

All welcome, whether you’re a regular at dig days or never picked up a shovel. We want to hear your thoughts on the trails around Tayside and Perthshire and what we can do to make them better.

If you’re keen to get involved but don’t know where to start, we can have a chat about how you can help, whether it’s on the trails or behind the scenes.

Or just come along for a night chatting about bikes, trails, and having a play on Dundee Cycle Hubs indoor bike park.

⚠️ VEGETATION CLEARANCE: BALLO ⚠️

Hi folks, beginning tonight (Thursday 13th Aug) we'll be working on clearing vegetation at Ballo. We'll probably need a few sessions at this, but tonight we're beginning with Korma/F&F then on to Spicy Bits, then Corona if time allows.

Please keep an eye out for signs and ideally avoid these trails if there's a banner at the top 🙏

Cheers!
