Support grandparents alienated from their grandchildren

We have created a petition that I hope to show to the Families Minister, a week on Monday. The attached link is to allow you to open, sign and share.
It's to raise awareness, and hopefully enforce changes to current legislation to allow a similar law that exists in New Zealand. In that as grandparents were have access to our grandchildren, unless safe guarding issues exist.
Please have a look and if you are willing then sign it, but just as important, share it far and wide, please.

Hello everyone, just an update on the Scottish Government side. Myself and June Louden joint founder of Grandparents Apart with (Margaret Deuchars) have been invited to meet the new Head of Family Law Policy Unit, Saira Kapasi in Edinburgh on the 10th August.

June and Margaret have been supporting grandparents for over 27 years, and multiple meetings with various government representatives over the years. We have only been doing this for just over 3 years and feel it's an uphill struggle, one we are prepared to continue with so can only imagine how June and Margaret must feel.

However it's better to have a line of communication with the people who can affect change that to be looking from outside in.
The offer came from the Government and hopefully we can get across what we feel needs to be done moving forward for the benefit of all our grandchildren that are alienated from their loving grandparents.

Will keep you updated as to how everything goes.

I saw this and it really struck home. We are all alienated grandparents but in a lot of cases it was our own offspring that decided to take that path. We are no different.
