It's a worthwhile meeting which I normally join. Meet like minded grandparents and support, especially for all living in England.

We were told a few years ago by a very well respected older solicitor that even after winning a court case for access to your grandchildren that its never over until they reach 16yrs of age.
At the time I was not convinced, however even after gaining a contact order the solicitors letters continue.
At every turn they will look for the slightest opportunity to continue to blame you " The Grandparents " for the position that they are in.
Look after yourself, mentally as well as physically.

It's never ending, the number of calls we receive especially from England it is truly heartbreaking. Whilst everyones story is unique, sadly the same thread runs through them all.
The grandparents are either casualties or targeted, regardless it's a toll we should not have to bare. Until their is a change in the law that offers some protection from this behavior then it's up to us to support each other through this heartbreaking situation.

Whilst we as grandparents have no automatic legal rights to contact with our grandchildren, there are avenues we can take to try and plug that gap.
We offer advice, we listen, we understand, we have and still are, walking in your shoes.
You are definitely not alone, reach out someone is listening.
Please share, it might just be what an estranged grandparent is looking for.

Think this sums up how everyone feels in our situation.
The struggle is real, always here to listen, you are not alone, ever.

Would anyone like a meet up in the Glasgow area? xx

You are definitely not alone.

In the past 12 months we have received 54 phone calls from estranged grandparents an average of almost 5 a month. Whilst each case is different for various reasons, the common thread is the same. Alienated from their grandchildren.
Whilst we don't always hear back from everyone we help, we are always here to support, offer advice, and guide you along this horrible path.
Your feeling has a name, it's called Ambiguous grief, grieving for someone who is still here.

This is from grandparents who have lived this, been to court, won our case and have access to two grandchildren, but still have two we don't see, and never will.

Never give up, hope keeps us moving forward.
For anyone reading this for the first time you can reach out to us anytime.

2 million grandparents and an estimated 6 million grandchildren in the UK alone are estranged.

Take care of yourself physically and more importantly mentally.
