Unfortunately, we are sorry to say that tomorrow’s walk has had to be cancelled due to the weather forecast.

However, we would still love carers to come along to the Centre in their colorful clothes and join us from 12:00pm for a lovely homemade lunch.

Our Golf Lounge Simulator activity is still going ahead, and all spaces have now been filled.

Thank you so much to everyone for your understanding and support. We look forward to welcoming you to the Centre from 12:00pm onwards.

The Carers Centre, in partnership with The Dove Centre, holds a Parkinson’s Group every month. It was wonderful that this month’s group fell during Carers Week. We had an excellent turnout and received some fantastic contributions in response to our two discussion questions.

It was particularly refreshing to hear how many positive experiences people living with Parkinson’s, along with their loved ones, have had within the community. We know there’s always more we can do, and we’ll keep working together across services to build on this.

Next Parkinson’s Group will take place on 9 July at The Dove Centre. We look forward to welcoming both new and returning attendees.

We had a wonderful time at our Knowledge Lounge networking event today as part of .

A huge thank you to everyone who attended. It was a truly enjoyable event with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and many informative and meaningful conversations throughout the day.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the The Rockfield Centre. Your hospitality, generosity, attentiveness, and professionalism were exceptional, while remaining warm and friendly at every step. Your support helped make this event such a success.

Today was a wonderful example of how we can all work together in 'building carer-friendly communities'. We sincerely hope this will become an annual event and look forward to bringing people together again in the future.

Had a lovely afternoon taking part in a activity with the Young Carers. They were so engaged, active, and enthusiastic throughout. Their thinking hats were definitely on, and they came up with some fantastic answers, as well as thoughtful follow-up questions and ideas.

It was wonderful to see that they recognise the importance of communities coming together to support unpaid carers. It was also heartwarming to hear that the Young Carers Service is one of their favourite services. Their appreciation and understanding were truly heartfelt, and it was a joy to witness.

Carers Week is coming together very nicely!

We are delighted that over 15 local community organisations will be attending our 'Knowledge Lounge' Networking Event.

Please come along to the Rockfield Centre on Tuesday 9 June, from 10:00am to 1:00pm, and join us in Building Carer-Friendly Communities.

This is a great opportunity to connect with local organisations, share information, and explore how we can better support unpaid carers in our communities.

Together, we can do more.

We are now open! 🎉

We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to Argyll Bathrooms for doing a fantastic job with our flooring, toilet, and boiler and also joinery work. All in one!
Also big thank you to Westech Electrical for fitting in our new lights in the centre.

Both teams came in and worked hard to ensure everything was ready in time for our Carers Week celebrations. They carried out the work with the utmost professionalism and friendliness throughout.

We were especially grateful for their advice, clear communication, and regular check-ins. Their support and attention to detail made a real difference, and we couldn't be happier with the result.

Thank you again for helping us get everything ready—we truly appreciate it!
