Our volunteers give so much to Re_Store, the Rescued Food Project and to our events and workshops... without them we wouldn’t be able to do what we do. Thank you to each and every one of you. Here's just a wee snapshot of some of our wonderful team, past and present.

Dunbeg residents! Get yourselves along on Wednesday 10th June, 3:30–5:30pm for the first family-friendly dinner night in Dunbeg. Drop in after school and stay to eat dinner together at about 4.45pm.

It’ll be a relaxed friendly gathering, with an after-school snack, toys and crafts for the kids and a lovely family meal.

The HOPE Kitchen team will be working their magic with lovely surplus food from local supermarkets to share. This is a pilot session with hopes of making it a regular thing after summer.

No need to book – just come along. Suggested contribution £1 adults / 50p children, but everyone is very welcome 😁🍴

Happy ! There’s lots of ways to get involved with cycling around Oban- check out Adventure Oban’s Big Bike Weekend!

Film & Social Night: On Wednesday, 3 June, The Rockfield Centre hosts a vegan community meal followed by a screening of seven short films celebrating local outdoor adventures, co-curated with Atlantis.

The Adventure Oban Big Bike Weekend 2026 officially takes place from Saturday, 6 June to Sunday, 7 June 2026- this annual celebration focuses on inclusive, community-focused cycling activities. Check out the led rides and the wonderful Kids Bike Event, running from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Sunday at Ganavan- it is a free, family-friendly day packed with cycling activities designed for children of all skill levels. Parents- we need your help! £80 voucher for Tescos/Amazon in return! We seeking 6 more parents to take part in a focus group next Tuesday 2nd June, 6.30pm-9.30pm at the Rockfield Centre..

The group will be discussing the cost of living in Oban- and the research will feed into future Argyll & Bute Council policy. The research is being conducted by Loughborough University and will be strictly confidential. Please click the link in the comments to fill in a short form to register.

Today at Rescued Food- along with lots of bread, cakes, lettuce and spuds- we have Angie! She’s the new local Housing Support Link Worker with Carr Gomm and is here to give information about their services. Every Friday for the next wee while pop in to say hi and get more information… the reality is, for many people, they are only two pay packets away from homelessness. Early help can stop a crisis before it happens- feel free to pop in and say hi to see what’s available for you or anyone else you feel could benefit 😁

Remember- you can always pop in for help at our workshops, trained and experienced teachers available to help you repair your clothes- or support you with your craft projects 😊 Workshop on tonight 6-8pm and Saturday 1.30pm-3.30pm
