🎃 What a spook-tacular week we’ve had! 👻🧡

This week we’ve been having some frightfully good fun with our tenants at our pumpkin carving sessions in Aberfan, Twynrhodyn and Pant! 🎃✨

From some brilliant fancy dress 🧙‍♀️🧛‍♂️ to seriously impressive pumpkin creations, we absolutely loved seeing everyone getting creative, having fun and enjoying some quality time together.

And, of course, no Halloween celebration would be complete without a treat or two... everyone headed home with an amazing goodie bag! 🍬🎁

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came along and made all three sessions so much fun. Seeing our communities coming together, laughing, creating and making memories is what it’s all about. 💙

10-Step Guide: What to Do If You Smell Gas in Your Property

1. Do Not Ignite Anything – Avoid lighting matches, using lighters, or turning on electrical switches, as these can cause an explosion.
2. Turn Off the Gas Supply – If it is safe to do so, turn off the gas supply at the mains. The shut-off valve is usually near the gas meter.
3. Open Doors and Windows – Allow fresh air to circulate and help disperse the gas.
4. Do Not Use Electrical Appliances – Avoid using mobile phones, light switches, or anything that could cause a spark inside the property.
5. Evacuate the Property – If the smell is strong or the Tenant feels unwell, leave the property immediately.
6. Call the Gas Emergency Number (0800 111 999) – Use a mobile phone or a neighbour’s phone from outside the property to report the leak.
7. Follow the Operator’s Instructions – They will advise you on what to do next and will send an engineer to check the property.
8. Do Not Return Indoors – Stay outside until it is confirmed safe by a gas engineer.
9. Check for Symptoms of Gas Exposure – If you feel dizzy, nauseous, or experience headaches, seek medical help immediately.
10. Arrange for Repairs if Necessary – If a gas leak is confirmed, a Gas Safe registered engineer will need to fix the issue before turning the gas back on.
