Lotto Merthyr Tydfil.... Are you a good cause and ready to sign up??

Our launch event took place today to give good causes a
first look at how the lottery will work, as well as giving them a chance to sign up and start fundraising with the lottery.

It’s not too late though, good causes still are being encouraged to sign up, there’s no limit on the number of causes that can join. Each good cause will be given its own page on the website to direct their supporters to. Causes will receive 50p from every £1 ticket they sell, with a further 10p going into a Central Fund that will also be distributed to good causes. Any not-for-profit organisation that is interested can sign up here: https://www.lottomerthyrtydfil.co.uk/

Fundraising with the lottery allows you to raise money online, all year round without needing to print tickets or source prizes. It gives supporters a fun way to boost fundraising, and maybe even win a cash prize.

Ticket sales for the lottery will launched on 30th June, with the first draw taking place on 18th July. Players will have the chance to win cash prizes of up to £25,000, whilst supporting the good cause of their choice. It’s a win-win situation!

Lotto Merthyr Tydfil - a fun and easy way to support good causes in Merthyr Tydfil!

Social Investment Cymru birthday grant scheme.
To mark 20 years of Social Investment Cymru we’re looking for 20 of our previous loan recipients to help us celebrate the occasion!

Rather than run our own birthday party, we’re offering grants of £1,000 to organisations to throw their own. We’re looking for organisations that want to celebrate their successes, highlighting and promoting the impact that you’ve had and continue to have in communities across Wales.
Applications will be open until 2July 2026 and awards made in July
In order to apply you will need to register with WCVA’s http://map.wcva.cymru/ or by visiting http://map.wcva.cymru/

You’ll find the ‘Social Investment Cymru Birthday Grants Scheme’ under the Applications tab.
Good luck with your applications and if you have any queries please email us on [email protected]

Our Community Coordinator Ian recently visited a respiratory support group run by Cwm Taf Morgannwg Health Board.
It’s fantastic to see people coming together to support their health, share experiences, and build confidence in managing respiratory conditions.
Groups like this play such an important role in improving wellbeing and reducing isolation—well done to everyone involved!
