Get creative and celebrate Diwrnod Shwmae Sumae!

In partnership with Canolfan a Theatr Soar and Taff Rocks we are offering two FREE rock art sessions where you will get the opportunity to decorate rocks and pebbles with Welsh words.

Both adults and children are welcome and you don't need any prior experience. These sessions have been kindly funded by Merthyr Tydfil CBC.

Now the rain has returned, it's a great time to get some wildflower seeds distributed around the area! Join us at Smyrna, Aberfan at 10am - 12noon tomorrow for some messy fun, for our environment and the wonderful pollinators 🪲

✨ Celebrating 8 Amazing Years of Taff Rocks! 🎉🎨

On 1st August 2018, Taff Rocks, who manage and care for Smyrna, Aberfan began as nothing more than an informal online community, created by a mother-and-daughter team with a simple idea and a passion for bringing people together through creativity.

What started on a summer afternoon has grown into something we could never have imagined.

Over the past eight years, Taff Rocks has evolved beyond anything ever imagined. We've welcomed hundreds of people through our doors, delivered countless workshops, built lasting friendships, supported wellbeing, encouraged creativity, and watched confidence grow one brushstroke at a time.

Taff Rocks has changed the lives of so many people within our community - and it has changed the lives of Nic and Yve too. What began as a simple idea has become a charity built on kindness, creativity, and the belief that art has the power to bring people together.

To everyone who has attended a workshop, volunteered, donated, funded us, partnered with us, shared our posts, or simply cheered us on from the side-lines - thank you. You are all part of the Taff Rocks story.

Here's to celebrating eight incredible years... and to many more creative adventures still to come! 💙🪨🎨
