To round up our final car change, it felt fitting that we had the final car produced at the Luton plant, the 2002 Vauxhall Vectra.

Marking the 7,415,045th passenger car to roll off the production line, the car represents the contribution of the thousands of people who worked at the plant over the decades.

As part of the project, we have digitised archival film footage from Vauxhall Motors. Explore the Press Shop through rare historic footage, accompanied by narration from Ray's oral history, offering a first-hand account of life inside the factory.

Our memory prompt booklets have been a popular addition to the exhibition.

Designed to support reminiscence conversations, the booklets explore personal themes such as first jobs, memories and careers, helping those living with dementia connect with their own experiences and stories.

With thanks to the Luton Alzheimer's Society for their support in developing the resource, the booklets use the history of Vauxhall as a starting point to spark conversations, encourage reminiscence and create opportunities for meaningful connections between visitors.
