World Su***de Prevention Day 2025 was held under the theme "Changing the Narrative" Critical Response Guyana was invited to speak with the students and faculty of Presidents College on su***de Awareness and Prevention. Our Founder and Psychologist Petra V. Richmond spoke with students from both the upper and lower forms of the school. Topics included: Understanding the Dynamics of Su***de, vulnerable groups, risk factors and warning signs for su***de, talking with someone about su***de and what to do if you are feeling suicidal. Petra also encouraged those present by sharing her own personal battle with suicidal thoughts and attempted su***de during her teenage years and how she overcame and is living a successful and victorious life today.
