🌟 Could You Help Make a Difference for Girls in Your Community?

We're looking for a passionate Volunteer Fundraiser to help raise vital funds and awareness for our residential centre, giving girls the chance to learn new skills, build confidence, and experience their first adventure away from home.

💜 What you'll do:
✅ Organise and support fundraising events such as coffee mornings, tabletop sales and sponsored challenges
✅ Promote our work by sharing leaflets, displaying posters and representing the charity in the community
✅ Build relationships with local businesses and funding organisations to secure sponsorship and donations
✅ Assist with donation records, social media activity, and thanking our supporters

✨ What we're looking for:

A friendly, approachable person who believes in our mission
Good communication skills and reliability
Self-motivation and enthusiasm
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Fundraising experience is helpful, but not essential

Don't worry if you don't meet every requirement—we'd love to hear from you if you're passionate and keen to get involved!

Training and support to help you feel confident in the role

If you like fixing things, problem-solving, or just lending a hand, this is a great way to make a real difference!
If the answer is yes, then you’d make a great Girlguiding volunteer! 💙

We need someone to help maintain Woodcroft, our local Guiding Centre so that the girls can continue to experience both regular meetings and residential opportunities. You can be involved in a way that works for you, suiting your skills, interests and availability.

What you'll be doing:
🔨 Carrying out small repairs and maintenance tasks as needed.
🧹 Undertake tasks such as sweeping external areas, jet washing car park and paving, and cleaning windows.
🖌️ Minor decorating tasks, including painting and general touch-ups.
🌿 Grass cutting and other gardening tasks

The skills and qualities you’ll need :
👷 Desired experience of working in a caretaking or maintenance role
🧩 Knowledge and skills acquired through a hobby relevant and transferable to the role
🔨 Confidence in using basic maintenance tools and equipment
🦺 Knowledge of health and safety legislation in order to work safely
🤝 Flexibility and adaptability to be able to deal with a variety of different maintenance tasks that arise.
🔒 Reliability and trustworthiness

What you’ll get:
Opportunity to develop new and existing skills and gain experience in the workplace.
Opportunity to meet new people in the neighbourhood.
Satisfaction of helping to keep a valuable local building in great shape, ensuring it remains a safe, welcoming and well maintained space for those who use it

What we need from you:
Provide 2 character references.
Complete our safeguarding training called safer guiding basics.
Complete a criminal record disclosure check (DBS, PVG, Access NI or Police Check, depending on where you’re volunteering)
