In Attar’s Conference of the Birds, the birds cross seven valleys in search of their king, and at the journey’s end discover that what they sought was within them all along.

Today, on the 81st birthday of Hazrat Pir, Professor Nader Angha, the 42nd Sufi Master of Maktab Tarighat Oveyssi Shahmaghsoudi, School of Islamic Sufism®, we return to that journey. His teachings of self-knowledge speak to the same question the birds carry through every valley.

From MTO Zendeh Delan, a section of Conference of the Birds as presented in Dallas, May 2026, offered with love and gratitude. 🤍

Sama within Quand le miroir se souvient du pas (When the Mirror Remembers the Trace) at the Musée d’Art et de Culture Soufis MTO®️.

Surrounded by the shimmering reflections of the Āyeneh-kārī installation, light, form and movement multiply across the space, dissolving the boundary between the one who moves and the world reflected around them.

The Āyeneh-kārī installation was created by students and practitioners from the Maktab Tarighat Oveyssi (MTO) Shahmaghsoudi School of Islamic Sufism, as part of an exhibition curated by Golzar Yousefi.

A moment of remembrance, contemplation and return, where Sama, music and reflection come together within a space inspired by Sufi thought.
