We're looking for a new Chairperson to lead our board into our next chapter! 🎨💼

For 14 years, we’ve helped people turn passions into prosperity across Liverpool City Region. As Chair, you’ll support our exec directors and guide key strategic priorities, including exploring a potential transition to a more co-operative model and driving major hub developments in Huyton Village and Liverpool's North Docks.

We're looking for:

• Strategic vision & governance knowledge
• Collaborative, supportive leadership
• A passion for community impact & culture

📮✨ The Jolly Postman Book Trail is starting to take shape...

Take a look behind the scenes as the team at Make. are busy developing ideas and bringing this magical trail to life. We can't wait to see their creations appear across Southport this October. 👀🎨💌

Inspired by the beloved children's book by Janet and Allan Ahlberg, The Jolly Postman Book Trail will transform Southport town centre into a living storybook, inviting families to follow the Postman's journey as he delivers letters to favourite fairytale characters.

Make CIC have been commissioned to work with artists from across the Liverpool City Region to create nine installations, transforming sites across Southport with imaginative scenes inspired by The Jolly Postman or Other People’s Letters and the classic fairy tales featured within the story, including Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk and Goldilocks. 📚✨

There are nine large-scale story installations to discover from 24 - 31 October, 10am - 4pm daily, and they can be visited in any order, allowing families to create their own storybook adventure through the town centre.

One whole year of Made in Huyton! 🎉

Last year, brought our Make Huyton residents together to transform the front of our space into a vibrant shop. Fast forward 12 months, and the shop now stock unique, handmade creations from over 20 local makers! 🎨✨

Inside you can discover locally made prints, jewellery, accessories, greeting cards, keyrings, stickers, candles, homeware, and so much more.

What makes Made in Huyton really special is that it’s run by the makers themselves, meaning heart and soul go into every single corner of the shop.

A huge congratulations to the entire team on an incredible first year. Here’s to many more! 🥂

Ben & Jerry’s, Hope not Hate, Make CIC and SHARE Knowsley are coming together for a community pop-up to celebrate grass-roots power and the people who bring others together.

Get involved - Pop by for a scoop, get creative and share what makes our community special by contrubiting to our community mural and adding a place that inspires hope to the community pride map.

Plus, Find out about This Place, This Stage - a place partnership between Adlib, Heart of Glass, Knowsley Council, Make CIC & Shakespeare North Playhouse to increase young people’s engagement with arts and culture in Knowsley.

There will be a creative activity led by one of Make’s resident creatives to guide you through a mini-workshop to encourage networking and connection! Light refreshments will be provided.

Tours of Make Huyton Village will also be taking place for you to see our open plan and private studios, artist-led shop Made in Huyton, specialist Innovation Lab and workshop.

Access information:
Make on the Corner has step free access and the event will take place on the ground floor. The toilet at Make on the Corner is up a flight of stairs. Seating will be provided. We have an accessible toilet at our main building, Make Huyton Village, which is a 1 minute walk away across Huyton Village high street.
