👊 Want a role you can really be proud of?

We have a vacancy in our team for a Data & Evidence Hub Manager.

At Merseyside Violence Reduction Partnership, everything we do is about making a genuine difference – and we’ve already supported over 200,000 young people across our region. Now, you could be part of what comes next.

We’re on the lookout for someone who’s passionate about helping prevent violence and support young people and families. This role is all about working with partners, communities and local organisations to deliver projects that tackle the root causes of violence and create safer opportunities for young people.

From helping shape and deliver programmes, to building relationships with those on the ground, you’ll be right at the heart of work that changes lives every single day.

It’s challenging, rewarding, and something you can take real pride in – because you’ll see the difference you’re making across Merseyside.

If you want to be part of something that truly matters, this is it.

Our young people are setting sail towards a brighter future ⚓

Brilliant to see our partners bringing opportunities to life through our Youth Empowerment Scheme—giving young people the chance to build confidence, learn new skills and see what’s possible for their future.

These young people from Conquer Life got out on the water with The Florrie on board The Pride of Sefton, giving them real experiences which are about more than just activities—they’re about opening doors, raising aspirations and helping young people make positive choices.

At the heart of what we do in the VRP is this: prevention works.

By creating opportunities, safe spaces and strong support networks, we’re helping young people choose a different path—away from harm and towards brighter futures.

This is what real change looks like 👊

Our Merseyside Schools Network is continuing to grow, and we’re inviting more education settings to join the conversation.

We’re proud to support KnifeSavers 💙

Merseyside VRP is proud to champion the work of local not-for-profit KnifeSavers, a pioneering initiative created by trauma surgeon and our Health Lead, Nikhil Misra.

KnifeSavers is helping to save lives by empowering people—especially young people—with the skills and confidence to respond to catastrophic bleeding caused by knife injuries.

Through the rollout of Bleed Control Kits, a hands-on education programme, and a simple step-by-step app, they are putting life-saving knowledge directly into communities.
This is about more than emergency response—it’s about prevention, awareness, and giving people the tools to act in those critical moments.

We’re incredibly proud to support Nikhil and the KnifeSavers team as they continue to make a real difference across our region and beyond.

📢 We’re supporting children across Merseyside affected by parental imprisonment through Time to Thrive.

We know that having a loved one in prison can be traumatic for children, often leading to stigma, isolation and emotional challenges. That’s why early, targeted support matters.

Time to Thrive, delivered by Time Matters UK provides:

✅ One-to-one mentoring to help children explore their feelings and build coping strategies
✅ Peer support groups to reduce isolation and build trusted friendships
✅ Holiday activities that boost confidence, wellbeing and life skills
✅ Opportunities to become peer mentors and ‘changemakers’

By supporting children impacted by parental imprisonment, we can help reduce vulnerability and prevent future harm.

💬 Together, we can ensure every child has the support they need to feel safe, heard and able to thrive.

🤔 Did you know❓

We work with experts on projects that start very early in a child's life – even in the womb!

🔍 There is clear evidence that experiences in the early years of life play a unique role in shaping a child’s brain, with long-term consequences for health and wellbeing and life chances.

📖 The Read to Bump initiative is showing just how powerful early intervention can be:

📊 Around 10% of children have long-term speech, language and communication needs
📊 Children from disadvantaged backgrounds are 2x more likely to be affected
📊 And 60% of young offenders have language difficulties

This is why working with parents before birth matters.

👶 After Read to Bump training:
✅ Knowledge of early language development jumped from 5.0 → 8.7
✅ Understanding of reading/bonding rose from 5.7 → 8.9
✅ Confidence in supporting parents increased from 6.0 → 8.9
💬 And 85% of participants gave the training a 👍

Early conversations. Early connection. Lifelong impact. 💗

💖 Every time we watch this video it fills us with so much pride!

Programmes like Beacon really make a tangible difference to the young people involved; developing teamwork and leadership skills, growing confidence and engaging them in unique, memorable experiences that truly resonate.

And in some cases - can help identify ambitions, that truly can change lives! 🚒

🎉 A massive thank you to every organisation that put forward a bid to be part of this year’s YES Fund!

We’ve been blown away by the response, with an incredible 168 applications submitted. It’s a real testament to the passion, creativity and dedication out there to making a positive difference for young people.

The panel certainly has their work cut out, with some very tough decisions ahead when they meet next month!

The YES Fund has already made such a powerful impact in helping young people access positive pathways, new opportunities and brighter futures, and it’s inspiring to see so many organisations eager to help continue that legacy.

Thank you all for the amazing work you do and best of luck to everyone who applied! 💙✨
