Dear Parents/Carers
We must share with you the unfortunate news that our group will be closing permanently on Wednesday 15t July 2026. The decision has been a difficult one but has become necessary.
The current leaders have been part of the group for a long time, over 20 years, showing true commitment. As fresh young leaders or parent helpers staying long after their children had grown and left the group.
We would like to thank the children and families for being a fantastic part of our Scout group and bring us lots of joy and laughs. We know that each one of the children will continue to flourish and become real credits to their families.
If you would like your child to continue their scouting journey, we have attached the details of other groups in the district that may have availability. If you are interested in any, please let us know and we can put you in contact with them.
Finally, we would like to invite you to join us on Wednesday 15th July 2026 to say our final farewell to the group. We will be hosting a small BBQ to celebrate the end of our time as the 3rd Fairfield Scout Group.
