We know how important connection, community, and shared experiences can be, which is why we wanted to share this upcoming event with our members and wider network.

Next week, Suzi Ruffell brings her trademark humour and honesty to an evening exploring identity, relationships, parenthood, and finding where you belong - sharing some stories from her brutally honest, funny and often moving memoir. ✨

Her book, Am I Having Fun Now? is riveting, relatable and revealing. Studded with brilliant, cutting observations on feminism, being working class in the world of arts and comedy, LGBTQ+ equality and the up- and downsides of ambition. If you’re looking for a welcoming night out filled with laughter and relatable storytelling, this could be one to add to your calendar!

At Old Woollen Sunnybank Mills, Farsley, Leeds
Tuesday 2nd June
Doors 7pm | Starts 8pm

Out Together are pleased to support A Million Acts of Hope ✨🌈

This national campaign brings together hundreds of charities, communities and faith groups to celebrate everyday kindness, care and connection across the UK. At its heart, it shines a light on the small but powerful acts that help people feel seen, supported and included.

For us, hope means community, connection, inclusion, and taking time for one another, while creating spaces where LGBTQ+ people feel they belong.

Hope happens in moments like our regular coffee mornings at Flamingos Coffee House Leeds and across Yorkshire, where people come together to chat, connect and support one another 💛

We’re proud to be part of a movement helping to bring hope out into the open.

What does hope mean to you?

This weekend, Matt attended IDAHoBiT Leeds 2026 on behalf of Out Together 🌈

It was a great day bringing together local organisations and community groups, all united in marking the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia and celebrating LGBTQ+ communities across Leeds.

With this year’s theme, “At the Heart of Democracy”, it was also a brilliant opportunity to connect with others working across the city and share more about Out Together’s work to reduce isolation and build stronger LGBTQ+ communities.

Matt also caught up with Alison Lowe OBE, West Yorkshire Deputy Mayor for Policing & Crime. What a positive, welcoming day full of conversation, connection, and community 🌈
