At UNISON’s SNP conference fringe meeting yesterday, Scottish Secretary Lilian Macer challenged the minister’s account of how health boards work as “really quite disrespectful”.

Staff have the experience to help improve services. They must shape what happens next.

🟢 Protect jobs and invest in services.

Celebrating One Team Day 🎉

UNISON always challenges politicians who talk of protecting 'frontline' staff as we know the NHS relies on every worker. From clinical teams to admin, porters, estates, IT, domestics and support services there is no frontline without the staff behind it.

UNISON One Team Day is about standing together and saying: protect all public service jobs, valued all workers, and invest in the whole workforce.

Nominate an amazing colleague in our One Team Awards and put them in the running to win a £500 voucher. 👇

Well done to Unison Glasgow City Branch and it's members for being the only ones standing up to such bullying.

Sending Solidarity. ✊️

Sending Solidarity to Welding Lecturers at Glasgow City College who have been striking for over 6 months as there employer is refusing to provide adequate required protective equipment to keep them safe at work.

It is appalling that employers will risk the health of their staff in such a way.

Well done to everyone for standing up and fighting for your rights. 💪✊️

A bitter dispute over welding fumes has now escalated into a wider row over workplace culture, staff treatment and safety concerns
