ITS THE 1ST SEPTEMBER - ITS AUTUMN!

We need fundraisers on board this Autumn.

Here are some ideas for some cosy, creative, and fun fundraising! Great to do with family or friends, as part of an organised community group, school or business.

HALLOWEEN HIGHLIGHTS

🎃Pumpkin Carving Contest: Entry fees + prizes for scariest, funniest, and most creative designs.

🎃Spooky Sponsored Walk: Dress up for a spooky sponsored night walk (one to be done in a group)

🎃Organise a Ghost Tour of your local area and charge for tickets: a spine-tingling experience.

BONFIRE NIGHT BASH

🔥Host a night with fireworks, hot drinks, and toffee apples. This can be as small or large as you like.

BAKING 🍰

🍰Celebrate National Baking Week (mid-Oct) with a bake sale of autumnal treats.

🍰Why not run a "Great Scottish Bake-Off" challenge!

🚫STOPTOBER OR STOPTEMBER

Give up a habit (smoking, sugar, caffeine, social media) and get sponsored for every day you stick to it.

💙 A Huge Shout Out to an Incredible Lady! 💙

This August, Angela McGarva has been taking on an amazing challenge of walking (or running) 50 miles to raise money for Kidney Kids Scotland and support families facing difficult journeys.

Her inspiration is her cousin's wee boy, Hamish, who is only 4 years old and is currently waiting for a kidney transplant. Despite his young age, Hamish has already coped bravely with hospital visits and procedures,

Angela has been pushing herself to complete 50 miles in one month to help ensure other families receive support from Kidney Kids Scotland when they need it most.

"Every mile is for Hamish and for all the children and families supported by Kidney Kids Scotland. If you can spare a few pounds, every donation, big or small, will make a real difference." (Angela)

A RUNNING EVENT WITH A DIFFERENCE ON 17TH OCTOBER 2026

If you are looking for an event to raise money for Kidney Kids that is a little bit different then the SPEYSIDE DRAMATHON could be just your tipple.

One for the over 18s - this race through the stunning Speyside countryside passes a number of Scotland's best distilleries and you can pick up corresponding miniatures at the end of the race along with your medal.

There are four distances to choose from - so something to suit all abilities. There is the Full Dram, The Half Dram. The Wee 10K Dram and the Wee Dram Relay.

Reading about the experiences of other Kidney Kids can provide comfort, hope, and a powerful sense of connection. It helps families know they’re not alone.
