Forth Valley Sensory Centre

Forth Valley Sensory Centre The Centre, based in Camelon, is an inclusive hub for those with sight loss and hearing loss. We are a Forth Valley wide charity based in Camelon.

Our Centre was opened in 2006 and we continue to develop and deliver a wide range of activities and services for people who have sight loss, hearing loss or both. We are also a thriving community hub. In addition to providing a wide range of social groups and activities, at low or no cost to participants, we have a fabulous Cafe, sensory garden and a sensory room, which are open to all. Businesses

can also take advantage of our spacious, flexible meeting rooms which are close to all major transport links. These are available to hire at a very reasonable cost and catering can be provided. The overall objective of the Centre, is to help people with Sensory conditions to live independently. Due to our partnerships with Falkirk and Stirling Councils, RNIB, RNID and NHS Forth Valley, and Sign Language Interaction we can provide a one-stop holistic approach to providing support. Services available at the Centre include lip reading classes, BSL conversation classes, Audiology for babies and children, rehabilitation support, low vision clinics, volunteering opportunities and social activities. You will find a full list of all we have to offer on our website, which is updated regularly www.forthvalleysensorycentre.org

πŸŒΏπŸ’™ Our Sensory Garden is flying the flag for Scotland! πŸ’™πŸŒΏ

Our fantastic gardening volunteers have been busy adding some special touches around the Centre's sensory garden to show our support for Scotland at the World Cup! πŸ΄πŸ’™

From our friendly garden characters getting into the spirit to our very own Bear β€œsuperfan” proudly standing behind a full-size Scotland flag, there’s a real sense of fun and national pride throughout the space.

The pergola has also had a makeover, now lined with Saltire bunting to create a welcoming, vibrant area for our centre users to relax and enjoy.

It’s been fantastic to see everyone engaging with the displays and sharing in the excitement. If you’re visiting us soon, make sure to take a stroll through the garden and spot all the Scottish touches!

Let’s cheer Scotland on together! πŸ’ͺ⚽

πŸŽ‰ Celebrating 11 Years of Leadership πŸŽ‰

Today, we are proud to celebrate CEO Jacquie Winning's 11th work anniversary at Forth Valley Sensory Centre.

Over the past 11 years, Jacquie has helped shape the Centre into the thriving, welcoming community it is today. Through periods of growth, unexpected challenges, and significant milestones, her leadership, determination and compassion have helped ensure that Centre Users, volunteers and staff always remained at the heart of everything we do.

From navigating difficult times and embracing new ways of staying connected, to helping deliver memorable celebrations and exciting developments, Jacquie's impact can be seen throughout every corner of the Centre.

What many people speak about most, however, is the way Jacquie makes others feel. Her warmth, kindness and genuine care for people have created a culture where everyone feels valued, supported and welcome.

As we celebrate this remarkable milestone and look ahead to the Centre's future, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to Jacquie for her dedication, vision and unwavering commitment over the last 11 years.

πŸ’™ Please join us in congratulating Jacquie on this incredible achievement.
