Home-Start Kirkcaldy supports families with young children through groups and 1:1 home visits In addition we run a weekly Family Group and respite creche.

Home-Start Kirkcaldy offers support, friendship and practical help to parents with young children in Kirkcaldy, Kinghorn, Burntisland and Cardenden. We offer a unique service for families - recruiting and training volunteers to support parents with young children at home.

Delighted to have a visit today from Jean, community champion from Asda to present a cheque for £1,000 from Asda Foundation.
This money will buy essential items for the families we support to help them out over the winter months.
A big thanks to Asda for their continued support.

We have a fantastic team of volunteers here at Home-Start Kirkcaldy. They each spend a couple of hours a week with a local family helping with whatever is going on - could be getting out and about, going to appointments, shopping or company, someone to listen.

The truth is our one-to-one home-visiting service is in great demand, we always have families on our waiting list. If you'd like to know more about how you could volunteer for Home-Start, please give us a message.

A lot of the families we support have issues with their mental health. Having someone show up consistently to listen, play with the children and show compassion & understanding makes a huge difference.

A round of applause to lovely wee Ellie, who ‘graduated’ from our Baby Bookbug class today now that she is a steady walker!
Pictured here with Mum & Dad (who know the words better than me now!) she is especially fond of the Tap Tap Box, so I made a little one of her own for her to take home.
