🌼🌳🍄 Sponsored Walk for Our Community Garden 🍄🌳🌼

Our mum's gardening group and their wee ones will be carrying out a sponsored walk to raise funds for a fantastic idea they have for a project in our community garden 🥰👩‍🌾

We had an old tree in our garden which, due to the previous bad weather, had to be cut down for health and safety as it was no longer safe in high winds 💨🌪️🪾😲

Our mums would love to raise enough money to have this turned into a Gruffalo for all families to enjoy while visiting the garden 🐭🦊🦉🐍🌳

The mums, wee ones and staff will be walking along the Kirkcaldy prom and back next week, if you would like to donate what you can it would be very much appreciated 🥰💚

Thank you ❤️

🥰🙏🌈

Today, we had the privilege of welcoming the lovely team from The Robertson Trust to the Cottage, where we had the opportunity to discuss the needs of the children & families we support and the impact of our work within the community 🥰

The Robertson Trust has been a valued supporter of the Cottage for many years, and we are incredibly grateful for their continued commitment, encouragement, and generosity. Their funding makes a real difference in the lives of the children & families we support 🙏

Thank you for taking the time to visit us and for standing alongside us in supporting those who need it most. We look forward to continuing our partnership and working together to create positive change.❤️

Living with ADHD and Tourette’s syndrome brought years of challenges for Tyler Moffat, including being bullied at school. But he went on to gain a degree from St Andrews University and refuses to let his diagnosis define him. Read more: https://ebx.sh/wwypJC

Community Garden Update

Our damaged tree has now been cut down as it had become unsafe in high winds. We have kept a 5ft stump, and our plan is to do a sponsored walk to raise £900 to have it carved into a Gruffalo 🥰🤎

“Oh help! Oh no! It’s a Gruffalo!”

The transformation of our “wee woods” area has been amazing so far, and we’ve put together this little video to show just how much it has changed 💚

We’ll add a photo in the comments of what our Gruffalo carving could look like 🥰

Cottage Community Garden Update!

The weather has been great for helping our grass to grow but difficult for us to be able to get in to the garden to work on it...

However our mums group have been working hard cutting the very long and overgrown areas that we put grass seed down at the end of April! This was its first cut and it was hard work 💪

The difference is unbelievable! What a brilliant play space this is going to be! 💚

We still have some work to do before reopening it, including replacing our four rotten raised beds with nails that are exposed and not safe for little hands 🙁

We also have a pallet play structure we are wanting to build by putting pipes up on that the kids can roll balls down if anyone is able to help us with this it would be amazing 🔨 🛠

And we have lots of strimming and weeding to do too, volunteers are always welcome to give us a helping hand 🥰

We still have to sort our turf area out by sectioning it off and laying grass seed by the edges too 🌱

We are trying really hard to get all of this done ASAP 🤗
