Hello Gardeners
Hope everyone has had a nice Summer.
Clows Top Gardening club will be meeting again on Wednesday 23rd September at Clows Top Victory Hall .
It will be our Autumn Show and our members will be asked to show their lovely Garden produce . 🍏🍐🍎🧅🫛
We have 9 categories this yr in the Autumn Show.
(Please note . This is for members only )
The categories are :
1. Basket of 4 kinds of vegetables and/or Fruit
2 .A vase of mixed autumn foliage and berries.
3 .A vase of mixed flowers
4 A vase of 5 stems of garden flowers. (1 variety)
5 The last rose of summer. (single stem)
6 A pot plant flowering/foliage.
7. The heaviest potato.
8. The longest runner bean
9. Any cake using vegetable/fruit as a main ingredient.
EXHIBITS TO BE STAGED BETWEEN 7.10 AND 7.20pm.
Refreshments 7.30 - 8 pm.

Our Guest speaker at 8pm is
Stephanie Mocroft " Teme Over Time" The History of Worcestershires Teme Valley.
We also have
Flower of the month, magazine swap, and a plant/produce table which members contribute,
We do welcome visitors who are interested in gardening and would like to join our Gardening Club .

Just a reminder To all our members and visitors. 🪴💐
There will be no Meeting again this month during the school holidays . Clows Top Gardening Club members are out on a Garden Visit to Bramley House in Tenbury Wells on August 26th.
The Gardening Club will resume at Victory Hall again on September 23rd with our Autumn Show , details to follow.
Please Continue to Look after your Gardens in this warm weather. ☀️. Hopefully we shall be getting some well deserved rain this week .
I had a visit to Bourton House Garden , Morton in the Marsh this week.

The venue and gardens were lovely and I recommend a visit sometime.

To all our members and visitors. 🪴💐
There will be no Meeting this month Wednesday 22nd July as Clows Top Gardening Club are out on a Garden Visit to Phipps Farm .
Next Month August 26th we are out on another visit to Bramlely House Tenbury .
The Garden Club meeting will resume at Victory Hall again on September 23rd , with details to follow.

We had a beautiful display of flowers tonight at our Rose and Sweetpea show .
Despite this hot weather , our gardening members didn't disappoint.
Thanks for all their hard work and contributions.
The Speaker Chris Conin gave us a very interesting talk about the restoration of Croome Court Walled Garden . He and his wife have transformed the garden over the years which is now open to the public at weekends.
We look forward to visiting soon .

Hello Gardeners
Hope your gardens are surviving in this hot weather .
Just to remind our members that our next meeting at Clows Top village Hall is this Wednesday June 24th and will be our Rose and Sweet-pea Show.
We look forward to seeing Sweet Peas and Roses 🌹 that members have grown in their gardens .
We are also adding a vase of Garden flowers and shrubs to the show .

Chris Cronin will be our Speaker this month us all about the restoration of Croome Court Walled Garden.
It is one of the largest Georgian walled garden in the UK.
New members and visitors always welcome to join us .

Thanks to all the members and local community that made our plant sale a big success. There was a great selection of plants and garden vegetable plants donated which sold out very quickly.
The cake and Bric a brac stalls were also popular.
There is no Gardening meeting this month (May)as the members have a Garden visit to Lower Hill Farm .
Our next meeting at Clows Top village Hall will be on Wednesday June 24th.
This will be our Rose and Sweet-pea Show.
Chris Cronin will be our Speaker telling us all about the restoration of Croome Court Walled Garden.
It is one of the largest Georgian walled garden in the UK

This Saturday, 9th May, 10am - 12 Noon. Clows Top Gardening club are holding a Plant Sale at Clows Top Village Hall .
We will have Plants for your Home or Garden grown by our dedicated Gardening club members .
Not only plants, but also cakes and (gardening related) bric - a brac for sale too. This is a fund- raising event for our Gardening Club.
The side gates will be open for extra parking at the rear.
Please come, and tell your friends and neighbours. We look forward to seeing you next Saturday.

Dear Gardening Club Members
Our next meeting is on Wednesday April 22nd 19.30 - 21-30 at Clows Top Victory Hall.
We will be having a talk and slide show by Lee Hale (Director ) from Winterbourne House & Garden Edgbaston .
A Botanic Garden and
Heritage site owned by Birmingham University.
It's lovely place to visit which I have been to recently and you can use your 2 for 1 Gardeners World card to get in .
