Gambia Intouch Gambia Intouch is a not for profit organisation set up to increase access to affordable and sustainable energy for communities in The Gambia.

Gambia Intouch supports communities to purchase affordable, high quality solar lights. There are two aspects to the current project: to catalyse interest by donating 'Solar Libraries' to schools in order that students can rent them for the price of a candle per week. The profits for this go back to the schools. The second aspect is to set up methods of distribution and sales outlets where people c

an buy these lights themselves. We are trialling community lamps which gives people the chance to rent them and once enough payments are made they then own them outright.
