Our team are at Kendal Town Council town hall for our monthly Brewed for wellbeing coffee morning.

It’s know your numbers week, we are offering free blood pressure checks.

We are joined today by Kendal Leisure Centre Sight Advice South Lakes Age UK Parkinson's UK Alzheimer's Society Dignity In Dementia South Lakes Dementia Community Westmorland and Furness Council Adult learning with singing in mind, St John’s hospice and Kendal debt centre.

We’ve had a fantastic day Selside & Grayrigg Show our team took a total of 43 blood pressure readings and had the opportunity to speak to lots of people about the importance of knowing your blood pressure and how to keep yourself healthy.

An amber heat-health alert is in place across parts of England from today until 14 August.

During an amber alert, hot weather can put more people’s health at risk – not just those who are usually more vulnerable.

Older people, young children and people with existing health conditions may be particularly at risk.

Take extra care and look out for others who may struggle in the heat.
