Crook Morris We are a mixed morris team, performing dances from the Cotswolds, the Welsh Borders and Rapper dances from the North East of England.

Crook Morris is a mixed group of morris dancers based at Kendal, Cumbria, UK. Formed in 1981 after some years as part of Crook Folk Dance Group, the side has become a familiar sight around the UK, dancing at various festivals and events. We practise between 8 and 10pm on Mondays from October to March and we welcome new members, either dancers or musicians. No previous experience is necessary! The best time to join is in October when we have New Members' Evenings to learn some of the easier dances. INCLUSIVITY

Crook Morris would like to make it clear that we are proud to be an inclusive organisation. Membership is, and always will be open to all, subject to a minimum age limit. Furthermore, we are proactive in standing against all forms of discrimination, both in the Morris world and in all sectors of our society. After a quiet few weeks for Crook as some of us have been enjoying our holidays and festivals (and recovering from Kendal Calling), we are starting to look ahead to the Autumn season. We have our last Monday evening dance out on the 7th September at Ambleside YHA. Then on Saturday 19th September we are performing at Arnside Apple day. Our final event of September is our very own taster day on Sunday 27th at Kendal Parish Hall, where anyone is welcome to come along and give it ago!
