A unique free event is coming to Appleby-in-Westmorland on April 8th
18:30 to 21:00 offering a powerful message of hope, recovery, and resilience for those living with trauma—and those walking alongside them. I will sharing my story of recovery and HOPE.
On Wednesday 8th of April 2026
I Andy Steele ex-Paratrooper and Firefighter who has personally lived with PTSD and made it through to recovery.

My mission is clear: to break the silence, share a story of resilience, and show that healing is possible.
I was ill health retired from the fire& Rescue Service with PTS-D i was a complete mess “When I was at my lowest, all I could see were statistics—21 veterans a day lost to su***de.

What I didn’t see were the people who were getting well. This evening is my way of changing that. It’s about lifting the silence and bringing real story of resilience into the light.

”What to Expect: · Hear what lead to being diagnosed with PTS-D first-hand account of recovery and resilience.

You will also leave with tools and techniques I'll be sharing with you that I've been using with clients for almost a decade.
One Vision Uniformed Services CIC will also be sharing what they do and offer to ex forces personal of Cumbria
