🐾🐝 Meet BUMBLE – our beautiful Bedlington Terrier x Whippet! 🐾

Bumble is 6, she is a sweet natured girl with huge potential. 💕 She’s an intelligent and sensitive dog who is looking for a family who can help her grow in confidence and become the wonderful companion we know she can be.

😺She has lived with small children and cats and enjoys the company of other dogs when introductions are done appropriately.

❤️She is currently building her confidence when meeting new people, so she’ll appreciate a patient and understanding family who can give her time to settle in and get comfortable at her own pace.

🐝Bumble enjoys:
🐾 Going out for walks, exploring and cosying up afterwards.
🐾 Being an important part of family life.
🐾 Learning through positive reinforcement and encouragement.
🐾Other dogs and socialising.

🐾❤️ ANNIE is searching for her new home❤️🐾

Our little 1 1/2 year old Jack Russell, Annie is looking for a patient, understanding, experienced family to help her continue to grow in confidence. ❤️

Annie is a very sweet and affectionate girl who loves attention when she gets to know you🥰 However, she can be nervous when meeting new people, so she needs someone who is happy to let her take things at her own pace, slow introductions to people and calm, confident approaches to new experiences.

Annie would love:
🏠An adults-only household, a calm, patient home where she can settle in.
🐾To be the only dog
🌻A secure garden.
🥾 Opportunities to explore once she's settled.

Through no fault of her own she came into our care as a stray and we therefore don't know much about her past. However, since arriving, she has been growing in confidence everyday and really enjoys being active, playful and exploring her surroundings.

Our staff say that❤️ "Annie is such a sweet girl and when given the time to get to know you is very affectionate. She deserves a family who can give her the time and space to let her show them what a wonderful little dog she is." ❤️

Today, we opened our doors and our hearts to 8 beautiful Maine C**n cats who are now safely in our care. ❤️🐱
Each one has their own story, their own needs, and their own journey ahead of them. For now, our priority is giving them the time, patience, veterinary care, reassurance and love they need to settle in and feel safe.

**Forever Home Update!** - HUGO 🐶

"Well what can I say about Hugo………

He settled in from the moment he walked through the door, it was like he had always lived here.
Hugo is a daily bundle of energy, he can be a little stubborn sometimes and is like a bull in a china shop when playing (typical Frenchie) but overall he has been an absolute pleasure, loves his walks, toys, naps, car rides and especially his treats. He is like my little shadow and is constantly by my side wherever I go watching my every move.
His cute face and cheeky personality melts my heart on a daily basis, thank you for allowing me to adopt him."

🐶 Happy National Dog Day!🐶

Today is all about celebrating the wonderful dogs who bring so much love, laughter and happiness into our lives.

And here at the shelter, we’re lucky enough to spend our days with some very special dogs too. ❤️

Some have been with us for a little while, patiently waiting for that very special person to share their home with.

So today, while our dogs are dreaming of their forever families, we want to celebrate ALL the amazing dogs out there!

**Forever Home Update!** - FREDDIE 🐾

"He’s doing amazing!
He’s just settled in so well. He’s gotten much more comfortable with the dogs this week, our older one is no bother, the young one is keen to play with him tbh but a quick hiss and he chases him away. We changed his name to Freddie, after Freddie Flintoff (cricket mad son!).

He’s desperate to go outside, we take him out supervised in the garden but feel he’ll be an indoor cat anyway, with his missing leg. Our vet advised that would be the best as he’s not great at jumping very high.

We adore him, he’s living his best life, with his cat trees upstairs and downstairs, 2 beds, scratching pads etc. his favourite toys ever though are plastic springs, he takes them in our en suite and he sounds like a pinball machine thrashing about with them! 😂"

Our feline residents would love to welcome some new faces to our amazing volunteer team! ❤️

From morning feeds to kitten cuddles, our cat volunteers help make sure the cats in our care have everything they need while they wait for their forever homes.

We have a mixture of regular weekly and alternate weekly shifts available, so whether you can commit every week or every other week, we'd love to hear from you!

🐾 CURRENT SHIFTS AVAILABLE:

🐱 TUESDAY

• Cat Morning — 1 regular weekly shift 🕘 9:00AM – 11:00AM

• Cat Evening — 1 regular weekly shift 🕒 3:00PM – 5:00PM

• Cat Evening — 1 alternate weekly shift 🕒 3:00PM – 5:00PM

🐱 WEDNESDAY

• Cat Morning — 1 regular weekly shift 🕘 9:00AM – 11:00AM

**Forever Home Update!** - CODI ♥

"Codi has settled in really well and is the most loving little boy and from day one we were in love.

Our 2 daughters have both left home and have their own dogs a jack russell cross (rescued from yourselves 7 years ago) and a Doberman and they all get on with Codi. He is such a laid back little boy. He is enjoying his walks along the country lanes and popping in to see our elderly parents for a treat!"
