Men have an important role to play in changing this. But speaking up isn’t always easy, and you don’t need to have the perfect response.

Earlier this year, we welcomed Michael Kaufman, co-founder of the White Ribbon movement, to Cardiff for an important conversation about the role men and boys can play in ending violence against women and girls.

Bringing together people committed to creating change, the event explored why challenging harmful attitudes and behaviours matters, and how we can all play a part in building a safer, more equal society.

📦 We’re hiring: Temporary Picker/Packer
We’re looking for a reliable and organised Temporary Picker/Packer to join the White Ribbon UK team in Hebden Bridge during our busiest time of year.

You’ll help us prepare and dispatch orders of our awareness-raising materials in the lead-up to White Ribbon Day on 25 November, helping make sure supporters across the country receive what they need for their activities.

📍 Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire
⏰ 15 hours per week initially, with the potential to increase as order volumes grow
💷 £12.71 per hour
📅 Starting early to mid-October
⏳ Temporary role until the end of November/early December

We’re looking for someone with great attention to detail, strong
organisational skills and a willingness to get stuck in as part of a small, busy team.

Applications close 2 October at 10am, although we may close the vacancy earlier as interviews will take place on a rolling basis.

As part of the Premier League x White Ribbon UK Fan Ambassador project, supporters will help promote allyship, model respectful behaviour and challenge harmful attitudes, helping to make matchdays safer and more inclusive for women and girls.

Violence against women and girls doesn't come out of nowhere.

It starts with "Just a joke." "Just a bit of banter." "Just boys being boys." We've all heard the excuses.

If we keep laughing it off or saying nothing, we're helping to make it seem like it's okay.

You don't need to make it a big deal. Sometimes it's as simple as saying, "Come on, leave it," calling out sexist content, or speaking up when a group chat goes too far.

If nobody challenges it, nothing changes.

It takes all of us.
