MaKing Place

MaKing Place Making Place is a new facility here at the ATC – an inspiring space for people to come and learn, share and collaborate on all things to do with making.

Somewhere people can meet and work on their projects, share tools, techniques, knowledge and time, pool resources and collaborate on bigger projects. We will also be running workshops, talks and meet ups ….. and a series of events, happenings and conventions. This project is rooted in the cooperative, creative and entrepreneurial heritage of the Calder valley

Underlying principles
Because this is

based at the atc, we have laid some ground rules/principles on which the project is based and that people should work towards – that of a low impact project - :
• Low energy usage
• Recycling/repurposing
• Local suppliers where possible
• Cooperative working
