Yesterday we attended a networking event for central halifax pcn. Many valuable conversations were held to strengthen partnership working across services. It was a great opportunity to share the health and hospital passport for people who have a learning disability.

The health and hospital passport supports healthcare services to meet legal duties under the Equality Act 2010 (reasonable adjustments) and the Mental Capacity Act 2005. It can signpost to key care plans, including eating and drinking, communication, and advanced care plans.

Last week we attended the Be Seen and Be Screened event by Pennine GP alliance and Central Halifax Primary Care Network. There were a number of valuable discussions, and it was fantastic to see such a strong turnout, including colleagues from Pennine Breast Services.

It's Dying Matters Awareness Week 2026. This year's theme is 'Let’s talk about death and dying'. At the Calderdale learning disability partnership board we provided and update along side Overgate Hospice and the CCalderdale Self Advocacy Networkabout the "No Barriers here" project

Arts based approaches can offer a depth of opportunity for expression and a space for greater exploration of feelings and preferences.. Which can be important for people who may not have had this space before.
