🏃‍♀️💙 From 10K to 50K for Mental Health 💙🏃‍♀️

Meet Sarah, who is taking on an incredible challenge to raise money for LilyAnne’s Wellbeing.

Having never run more than 10K before, Sarah is now training to complete a 50KM Ultra Run with 3,322ft of elevation, all to help raise awareness of mental health and support local people who need access to help.

Mental health affects so many people across our community, including Sarah and her own family. Like many others, they have experienced the challenges of accessing support and the impact that poor mental health can have on everyday life.

Over the next few weeks, Sarah will be pushing herself further than ever before, proving that even the biggest challenges can be achieved one step at a time.

Every donation will help support the work of LilyAnne’s Wellbeing, enabling us to continue providing mental health and emotional wellbeing support to people across our community.

💜 Cheer Sarah on as she prepares for her biggest challenge yet

Together, we can help ensure that nobody has to face their struggles alone.

Good luck, Sarah. We are all behind you every step of the way! 👏

🎙️ Episode 1 is now LIVE! 🎙️

After months of planning, conversations and preparation, we’re proud to launch the very first episode of The Wellbeing Room Podcast.

This first episode is all about who we are, why we started LilyAnne’s Wellbeing, and our passion for creating a community where people feel heard, understood and supported.

We’ll be exploring mental health, neurodiversity, loneliness, resilience, community and the real-life experiences that so many people face every day but often struggle to talk about.

This isn’t about perfection. It’s about honest conversations, authentic stories and creating a space where no one feels alone.

Thank you to everyone who has encouraged, supported and believed in this project from the very beginning. We hope this podcast starts conversations, challenges stigma and reminds people that support is available.

This is only the start of the journey, and we’re excited to bring you many more episodes in the weeks and months ahead.

🎧 Listen now and let us know your thoughts in the comments. We’d love to hear what topics you’d like us to cover in future episodes.

Happy Volunteers’ Week!

Without our incredible team of dedicated volunteers, LilyAnne’s Wellbeing simply wouldn’t be possible.

From our volunteer counsellors and volunteer listeners to those who help keep our hub welcoming, organised and running smoothly each day, every single volunteer plays an important role in supporting our community.

As a volunteer-led charity, we are incredibly grateful for the time, compassion, commitment and energy our volunteers give so freely. Their dedication helps us open our doors every day and ensures people across our community can access the support, connection and understanding they need.

Thank you to each and every one of you. Your contribution makes a real difference, and we truly value everything you do. 💙

Who’s watching The Fortune on Channel 5 tonight? 👀📺

You might spot a very familiar location while watching!

We were delighted that our Community Hub was used as one of the filming locations for scenes within The Fortune, Channel 5’s new psychological thriller starring Eleanor Tomlinson, Matthew Lewis and Stephen Tompkinson. The four-part drama was filmed across the North East, including locations in and around Hartlepool.

It’s fantastic to see local venues and communities showcased on national television and to be a small part of a production that highlights our region.

If you’re tuning in tonight, keep your eyes peeled and let us know if you spot our hub! 👀✨

Yesterday we had the pleasure of meeting with a number of organisations from across Hartlepool who are working tirelessly to support local people experiencing food poverty and financial hardship.

It was fantastic to sit around the table with representatives from Salam Community Community, The Annexe, Stranton School, St Aidan’s Church, Food @ Hart, Community Shop and Hartlepool Food Bank to explore how we can work more closely together, strengthen referral pathways and support one another.

No single organisation can meet every need, but by working collaboratively we can help ensure that people and families requiring food support are directed to the right place at the right time and receive the help they need without unnecessary barriers.

Partnership working is vital. By sharing knowledge, understanding what services are available across the town and building stronger connections between organisations, we can create a more coordinated response for those facing hardship.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to such a positive and productive discussion. Together, we can make sure support reaches those who need it most.
