We are now running a new study option called "The Tees Coastline - Climate Change & Sea Defences" for which we have received funding from Tees Tidelands Youth Engagement. The latest school to be able to come for an admission free visit is St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School. Well done everyone for working hard all day, we hope you enjoyed using the binoculars and watching the seals at Greatham Creek!

The second round of visits from Corporation Road Community Primary School saw Year 5 spend one of the warmest days of the year so far with us, again learning all about "The River Tees - Source to Mouth". If we thought that it might be a bit cooler with a refreshing breeze on the beach during the afternoon, we were wrong! Well done everyone for staying on task and doing so well in the heat!

The first of two posts from our two sets of visitors from Corporation Road Community Primary School earlier this week. On Monday it was the turn of Y6 to come and learn all about "The River Tees - Source to Mouth" with us. On arrival the school was pleased to spot their name on our Annual Awards Board as a previous Overall Winner of the Teesmouth Award for sending in some fabulous display work. We have high hopes for this year....!

Day 2 of our visitors from St. Edward’s Catholic Primary School, who came to discover all about the rocks and fossils that we find at North Gare beach. A morning of exploring and an afternoon carrying out experiments, budding geologists all round! And another lucky escape from the rain, we even had a few minutes of sunshine today!

Our first day back after May half term and our first of two days of visitors from St. Edward’s Catholic Primary School. Year 3 came to learn all about Rocks and Fossils with us, exploring on the beach in the morning and carrying out experiments in the afternoon. We were also extremely lucky and managed not to get a soaking on the beach, despite the forecast saying there was a 90% chance of rain!

Well done to our visitors from Thorntree Academy who came on our new "The Tees Coastline - Climate Change & Sea Defences" visit, for which we've received funding from the Environment Agency's Tees Tidelands Youth Engagement. This means we can offer schools from across the region an admission-free visit to come and look at the impacts of climate change on the local coastline here at Teesmouth. Well done for all you hard work Year 5!
