Great day at Carrs Lakes with the Community Links lot. We had plenty of fish on the bank, learned lots of new skills and had a cracking time!

This weekend we managed to get out and deliver some equipment to some youngsters eager to get amongst some fishing. We're working tirelessly behind the scenes to build something big and, hopefully very soon, all will come into view! Thank you to everyone who has supported us with donations and by buying our merch so far. This is the impact you're all having!

PASSING IT ON!

We've just dropped off a donation to a young lad who's fishing gear had been stolen from his shed. We've managed to get him a full set up, meaning he can now get back out on the bank! He said he's really looking forward to getting out and he'll be sure to send us some catch reports.

This is the outcome of all of your donations and support; buying sticker packs and t-shirts. Let's keep the good vibes going and get more people on the bank!

Ambassador announcement!

It is our pleasure to introduce our first ever ambassador for Tackling Futures, Jess Walshaw.

Jess has been with us from the very beginning as a service user and watching her progress and grow has been an absolute privilege. She has a passion for angling and wants to share that passion with others, taking colleagues and residents from her place of work for time on the bank. Jess, welcome to the team and keep up the fantastic work!

HUGE APOLOGIES!

I wanted to take this opportunity to apologise to everyone who ordered one of our new t-shirts. I haven't forgotten, and they are in the works, I simply haven't had the time to manufacture them yet! BUT do not worry, they'll be sorted in the next few weeks so expect a message from me!

GET KIDS FISHING!

We've amassed quite a collection of fishing equipment and have enough to pass on to any budding young anglers out there in need of equipment. Rods, reels, nets, you name it! If you know someone who would benefit from this then drop us a message and we'll get something sorted!

ALSO! We're working hard behind the scenes to gain the qualifications needed to host sessions for everyone, bringing fishing to the masses and making it more accessible for those who wanted to try but never had the means! Stay tuned, exciting times are ahead for Tackling Futures!
