Maryhill Integration Network

Maryhill Integration Network Uplifting Refugee Stories | Human Rights Campaigns in Action | Grassroots change from a charity in Glasgow

Maryhill Integration Network (MIN) was established to bring asylum seekers, refugees, migrants and the settled inhabitants of Glasgow together. Since 2001, we have been developing projects which support positive social change by investing in communities and providing a welcoming - and much-needed - safe and inclusive space with opportunities for collaboration and connection. MIN’s Mission is to de

velop a unique and creative environment in which communities can come together to share experiences and demonstrate the value of cultural diversity in Scotland. MIN’s Vision is for an inclusive society where everyone is treated with dignity and respect, and can live supported and connected lives. This weekend at MIN's 25th Birthday party, we have a special treat! 🀩

To honour the many years of art-making and creativity that has passed through our centre, we have asked Karina from to help immortalise the artwork that represent MIN. πŸ˜βœ¨πŸ’œ

During the party, you will have the chance to choose one of these three designs made by members of MIN and with the help of Karina, and screen-print them directly onto a t-shirt or tote bag to take home! πŸ‘•πŸ‘œπŸ‘Œ

Thank you to the artists that have made the designs: Úrsula Maria Cox, Yamam Salman and Tomilola Owolabi πŸŒΌπŸŒΊπŸŒ·πŸ’

You're not going to want to miss this! Get yourself a ticket at the link in our bio! ☝

Today is the last week of this year's volunteer week (1-7th June)!

Let's take a special moment to thank the amazing people who share their skills, knowledge, experience, and joy with us at MIN.

To the garden club bringing colour and vibrancy to our community centre, to the archive group making sure the memories and artwork and people that have shared a little bit of life with us will be remembered and cherished forever, to the volunteers who have helped with fundraising efforts to make sure we can keep doing what we do... Just to name of a few of the amazing things our volunteers do!πŸ’«πŸ₯‡πŸ’œ

Thank you to all the amazing volunteers, past and present, who in their ways have contributed to make MIN what it is. And special thank you to our amazing volunteer coordinator, Boatemaa!

If you would be interested in volunteering, check out the opportunities on our website!πŸ‘‰ πŸ’»πŸ€©

Taking a moment to breathe deeply and connect with nature in Scotland's beautiful outdoors. Sharing food, sunshine, music, and laughter with good people.

In a world that can feel heavy with division and noise, these moments remind us what really matters: connection, kindness, and showing up for one another. It is so important to take a moment for your wellbeing to be able to keep on fighting for a fair and just world.

This week at MIN Voices, we were delighted to welcome our lovely friends from πŸ‘

They delivered an incredibly valuable workshop covering debt management, financial support, and how to maximise benefits. Practical knowledge that can make a real difference. πŸ’ͺ🧠

At a time when the rising cost of living is impacting so many, empowering our communities with the right information is more important than ever πŸ«‚πŸ’¬πŸ

This weekend, our team and volunteers walked (almost 500) miles in the around Loch Lomond to raise funds for our vital emergency fund πŸ’ͺπŸ‘£πŸ€

Although we completed our walk, we are still open to donations until we reach our target 🎯

All donations will go directly to support our emergency fund which is exclusively to help MIN's service users who are most in need of direct support during particularly challenging times πŸ«‚

If you want to find out more - drop us a message πŸ’¬

And if you would like to support, the link is in our bio! ☝️

Will you help us get to our target before the week is over??? πŸ™ŒπŸ’œπŸ˜

Congratulations also to all the people who walked this year for so many different and important causes πŸŽ‰πŸ‘πŸ’

Kilts on, boots ready, this Sunday we walk πŸ’œ

Some of the MIN team are taking on the Kiltwalk at Loch Lomond, stepping up for our community every mile of the way.

We’re raising funds to support people facing rising living costs and harsh immigration and asylum systems, helping ensure dignity, safety, and autonomy for those who need it most.

No target, no pressure, just people coming together. Every single donation, big or small, truly matters.

Want to support or find out more? Follow the link in our bio or drop us a message... we love to chat! πŸ“©

More updates (and behind-the-scenes πŸ‘€) coming this week...stay with us!

On Sunday, North Glasgow really showed up.

Nearly 1,000 of us came together, marching, dancing and singing, celebrating the strength in our unity, diversity and community.

We made one thing clear. There is no place for racism here. No place for hate.

Huge thank you to everyone who marched with us, and to all who organised and performed. You kept the energy alive and the message strong. βœŠβœ¨πŸ’œ

On a very grey Glasgow day, here's some radiant women from our Joyous Choir bringing the sunshine β˜€οΈπŸ’›

We are incredibly thankful to have participated in Moving Minds at Civic House , celebrating Glasgow 850 through creativity, community, and connection. Sharing the space with such inspiring artists, performers, and neighbours reminded us of the strength found in unity to sing, listen, imagine, and support one another.

Here’s to community, creativity, and discovering light even on the cloudiest days! ✨🎢
