We painted messages of hope on the boulders, planted new garden flowers, and shared special moments with our community. Thank you for making everyone feel welcome.

We learned so much and grew closer together! 🌱💕

We've taken some time to reflect following the events of Saturday, 25 July.

We saw thousands of people across Glasgow stand together against racism and far-right hate. We also witnessed some violence that does not represent our city.

Glasgow is built on community, migration and solidarity. We stand with everyone affected by these events and believe everyone deserves safety, dignity and a place to call home. 🏠🌞🫂

The homelessness emergency and cost-of-living crisis are real, but migrants and refugees are not the cause. Real safety comes from secure housing, accessible healthcare, compassionate leadership, and communities looking out for one another.

Thank you to everyone who stood against hate, especially , , and everyone who helped organise and support the day.

We'll keep working to build safe, welcoming spaces in Maryhill and across Glasgow. Keep choosing solidarity. 💜

This past year, Abeer has been delivering our Migration Education outreach programme in local primary schools, creating safe spaces for young people to explore migration, inclusion and belonging. 🎈📚💜

Through engaging workshops, Abeer has done an incredible job encouraging healthy, constructive conversations that promote tolerance, respect, empathy, diversity, citizenship and positive relationships. 👏🤩💐

With the support of local schools, these sessions help pupils think critically, recognise misinformation, understand why people may be forced to flee their homes, and explore the challenges they face along the way.

The impact has been inspiring. Schools have shared:
⭐"Students started giving more thought to the situations of others"
⭐"Pupils began showing empathy, kindness, inclusion and a greater understanding of the needs of people who migrate."

Creating opportunities for dialogue and learning about migration is more important than ever. By challenging misinformation and building understanding, we can help tackle xenophobia and strengthen more welcoming, connected communities.🫂

It's been one month since the fabulous exhibition of and was held at the historic Mackintosh Queen's Cross, marking 25 years of MIN 🫰

"This Home, This Voice" captured some magical reflections of what it means to be part of something, and to build something together. A safe place, a place of connection and creativity. A place where love wins. 🫂

The exhibition showed the power of daily acts of care and solidarity through a collage of drawings, sound recordings, 16mm film and animation. Here we highlight some of the special quotes from our community members. 💫

🌿 A fantastic day out at Mugdock Country Park with our Men's Group! 🚶‍♂️☀️

Fresh air, great company, and plenty of laughs with 17 members enjoying the beautiful Scottish surroundings. Days like these remind us how important spending time outdoors is for our wellbeing, relaxation, and building strong friendships.

Already looking forward to the next adventure! 💚

To celebrate our volunteers this past year, we had a little day trip together to the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum! 🖼💐

It was a super interesting tour that featured artworks and objects related to migration and refugees. Thank you to the guide for sharing knowledge on how migration has helped bring innovation, community and exchange to Scotland. 🥰😎

After the tour, we took part in a little competitive Scavenger Hunt and the team 'The Glasgow Girls' won! Smiling big with their well-deserved medals. 🪇🏅😁

It was a great day out and always amazing to learn more about the history and people of Glasgow. 🏙♥

To kick off Refugee Festival week, we had a big ol' birthday party to commemorate 25 years of MIN!

At the historical Mackintosh Queen's Cross Church in Maryhill, we had amazing musicians, artists, and most importantly, our community members come together to live our message: collective joy is an act of resistance.
