Our volunteers go above and beyond. Everything they do is done with kindness. From supporting our arts workers and participants in art sessions, fundraising or helping with exhibition preparation; the time they give is immense. They are an integral part of the team, with whom we wouldn't be able to do what we do without their wealth of skills and support.

So, during Volunteers' week, we'd like to say a very big thank you. Thank you to all our volunteers and trustees.THANK YOU for all you do. We massively appreciate you and the time you give us.

We are recruiting for freelance (ad-hoc) artists to support our lovely team and help facilitate our
therapeutic art sessions Creative Response is a therapeutic community arts organisation, supporting people experiencing mental ill-health and with other vulnerabilities.

We are looking for a small number of additional artists to join our team as art workers on a freelance (ad-hoc) basis to help ensure our resilience and allow for our continued growth.

Our main studios are in central Farnham, and we also run a service in Rushmoor, Hampshire and are looking to open new services in other areas of Surrey very soon. Applicants would need to be prepared to work in either location as required. Typically sessions run on a weekday between 10am – 3 pm.
Initially your work with us is likely to be cover for holiday/sickness to ensure our workshops take place for the benefit of our participants and/or supporting us with special workshops or events. But there is the possibility, in the longer term, of a fixed-term or permanent role with us.

If you are a practising artist, (any medium in the visual arts), with an interest in the wellbeing benefits of art and creativity and might like to work with our brilliant team, please send your application (a cover note and CV, maximum of two pages each) to Anna Matthews at [email protected] by 5pm on Monday 15th June.

Interview dates are likely to be week commencing
22nd June.

Please note: This is a freelance role, and you will be responsible for your own tax and national insurance. Payment is made through the presentation of a monthly invoice. Successful applicants will require a DBS check, which we will organise, and will need to provide 2 references.

We are excited to announce our upcoming summer exhibition, Nagomi, opening on Saturday, 6 June.

Nagomi, a Japanese concept meaning harmony, balance, ease and calmness represents a state of gentle equilibrium and contentment found in both surroundings and interactions.

The concept reflects the therapeutic environment we strive to create at Creative Response in our day to day work.

Our exhibition, beautifully curated, with thanks to and , is part of and is a collection of work by the Creative Response community.

A gentle reminder to the members of our community that we will be back open on Tuesday 2nd June for the remainder of the summer term in both Farnham and Aldershot.

A gentle reminder to the members of our community that Creative Response will be closed next week for the half term break. We'll be back open on Tuesday 2nd June for the remainder of the Summer term, with lots of creativity planned in both Aldershot and Farnham.

We are still open this week, and look forward to seeing you on your normal day.

Last week, under the wonderful guidance of we ran a very special Nagomi pastel workshop for some of our participants.

“Nagomi” the title of our Summer art exhibition (opening in June) means harmony in Japanese. Founded by Mr. Hosaya Norikatsu in 2003 in Japan, Pastel Nagomi Art promotes a form of healing. Using soft pastels, fingers, simple tools and unique painting methods, our participants blended, mixed colours and created beautiful floral works of art.

Here is a sneeky peek at some of the beautiful works being created in our studio by our community.

We can't wait to show you the final works of art at our summer art exhibition, Nagomi, opening on June 6th.
