Sometimes, finding your way forward starts with knowing you're not alone. 💛

Life can bring unexpected changes, challenges and moments when everything feels a little harder to manage.

That's where Transitions comes in.

Supporting adults aged 18+ who may be feeling vulnerable or isolated, Transitions offers workshops, peer support and coaching to help people build confidence, develop skills and create meaningful connections.

Whether it's managing anxiety, navigating change or simply finding a reason to connect with others, everyone deserves support that meets them where they are.

Because moving forward doesn't have to mean doing everything on your own.

🎨 What if creativity wasn't just about making art, but about discovering what you're capable of?

We bring adults with learning disabilities and mental health difficulties together through art and drama.

But it's about so much more than the artwork.

It's about trying something new. Finding your voice. Building confidence. Making friends. And having a place where you feel welcome, valued and included.

Through creativity, people discover skills, express themselves and build meaningful connections.

And sometimes, those small steps lead to something extraordinary.

Every family deserves the chance to feel safe, supported and hopeful about the future. ❤️

When family life becomes difficult, knowing where to turn can make all the difference.

At ECI's Family Resource, we work alongside families with children aged 0–18 who are facing challenges and hardships, helping them develop the skills and confidence to move forward as happy, healthy families.

Behind every family we support is a unique story. Sometimes, it's about rebuilding confidence. Sometimes, it's about finding practical solutions. And sometimes, it's simply having someone who listens without judgement.

Because families don't need to navigate difficult times alone.

🌍What if your unwanted children's things could make a difference twice? 🌍

💚At Jelly, we're giving pre-loved children's clothing, toys and essentials another chance to be loved.

But we're doing more than helping families find affordable items.

We're helping reduce waste, encouraging sustainable shopping and supporting the wider work of Exeter Community Initiatives.

Every donation has potential.

Every purchase makes a difference.

And every volunteer helps keep this little Award Winning shop on Fore Street making a big impact across our community.

Good for families. Good for the environment. Good for Exeter.

🎨 Sometimes, creativity can be the start of a connection.

Our Common Ground project working alongside and funded by Wellbeing Exeter, CoLab Inclusive Exeter and the Exeter Community Builders brought people from across Exeter together to create, share, learn and build new friendships through art.

Across four free workshops, 14 people created 43 unique artworks — but the impact went far beyond what was made. From discovering new creative talents to forming unexpected friendships, the sessions created a welcoming space for people to feel connected and part of their community. 💛

One participant even discovered that a neighbour of five years was sitting beside her at a workshop — and they had never met before!

🧡A huge thank you to St Stephen’s Church for raising money for Exeter Community Initiatives through their wonderful words and piano concert.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who helped organise the event, performed, attended and made a donation. It was a lovely way to bring the community together while raising valuable funds to support our work across Exeter and Devon.

Every donation, whether large or small, helps us continue supporting individuals, families and communities across the local area.

Thank you to St Stephen’s Church and everyone involved for choosing to support ECI and helping us make a difference in our community.🧡

Do you work with volunteers in Exeter? We want to hear from you! 💬

Volunteers make an incredible difference to organisations across Exeter – but we want to know what it’s really like to recruit, retain and work with volunteers.

We’re asking local organisations to take a few minutes to tell us:

💚 Why are volunteers important to you?
💚 What are your biggest volunteering challenges?
💚 What support would make a difference?
💚 Would you be interested in a quarterly volunteering network?

🎁 Plus, everyone who completes the survey can enter our prize draw to win a £25 Amazon voucher!

Your feedback will help us understand what organisations need and explore how we can better connect and support those involved in volunteering across Exeter.

📅 Deadline: Tuesday 15 September
