How can we better support the first people on the scene of a road traffic collision?

When an accident happens, bystanders and non-clinical emergency staff are usually the first on the scene. IMPACT is conducting a vital study to evaluate a simple trauma tool designed to support early emergency response - and they need your help to improve future training and assessments

Who they're looking for:
👥 Members of the public
🚓 Police officers
🚒 Fire & Rescue personnel
🏥 Clinicians

📍 Middlemore Fire Station, Exeter
📅 2–4 June (just 2 hours on one of these days)
🩵 No prior experience needed

Stay safe during the hot weather & please look after those around you. ❤️

If you have to go outside, stay in the shade especially between 11am and 3pm, wear sunscreen, a hat and light clothes, and avoid exercise or activity that makes you hotter.

Drink plenty of fluids and avoid excess alcohol during the hot weather. Avoid extreme physical exertion during the hot weather. If you can’t avoid strenuous outdoor activity, try to do it during cooler time of the day such as the early morning or
the evening . Keep your home cool by closing windows and curtains in rooms that face the sun.
