We’re delighted to officially welcome Shropshire Wildlife Trust as the twelfth Wildlife Trust to join the SWWFL family! ✨
Our face-to-face fundraising partnership launched on 1st April, marking the culmination of over two years of careful planning and collaboration between our teams.
This exciting new partnership represents a major step forward—not only for SWWFL, but for the broader movement to restore and protect nature across the UK. With Shropshire joining us, SWWFL now supports over a quarter of The Wildlife Trusts, enabling us to play an even greater role in connecting people with nature and growing the support base needed to drive real, lasting change. 🤝
We’re incredibly proud to be partnering with such a passionate and forward-thinking organisation. The team at Shropshire Wildlife Trust are deeply committed to local conservation, community engagement, and restoring biodiversity across their beautiful county.
Richard Grindle, CEO at Shropshire Wildlife Trust, shared: “We are delighted to be joining the SWWFL partnership – the twelfth Wildlife Trust to do so. SWWFL now supports over a quarter of The Wildlife Trusts movement which means they are a key enabler for nature’s recovery. Being a membership organisation is really important to SWT. It means that we are truly rooted in the community, connected to local issues, and accountable to the wider population ... Membership recruitment is fundamental and SWWFL has the expertise and experience to keep growing our membership base, meaning that we can focus our efforts on putting nature into recovery.”
We echo Richard’s words and share his belief in the power of face-to-face engagement to build meaningful connections and inspire long-term support for nature.
David Stansfield, CEO at SWWFL, added: “We’re delighted to partner such an interesting, progressive Trust. Both teams have been working hard in readiness for several months after two years of preparations to get to this point.”
A heartfelt thank you to everyone at both SWWFL and Shropshire Wildlife Trust who have worked so hard behind the scenes to bring this partnership to life. We’re incredibly excited for the future—and proud to stand side-by-side in support of a wilder Shropshire. 🦡
