Disagreement between staff today over the design for the front of our new business card was brought to an end when Andrew was asked to cast the deciding vote. He chose the one with our logo in the middle. This was also my choice. Go Andrew!! 😀👍

Today was the first planning meeting for our next marketing venture. This idea is to produce our own branded tote bags. Our photography group and artistic staff and trainees will produce artwork to be put on the tote bags which we will then get printed both for distribution as part of our Boost Bags and for sale in the shop.
This project funded by One City Trust, City of Edinburgh Council and Travis Perkins will help our trainees gain skills and experience in photography, design, product placement and marketing.
Debbie, Nathan and April attended the first meeting and mocked up some designs featuring the photography from last years photography group.

We would like to thank the Local Area Coordination Team for inviting us along to the Learning Disability event at Meadowbank Sports Centre on Tuesday 8th September. It brought lots of people together to celebrate Learning Disability Week and the theme “I am here… to be seen.”

We all had the opportunity to make a pledge for Learning Disability Week 2026 with the SCLD and think about how we can continue to make a difference and ensure people with learning disabilities are seen, heard, and included.

Our staff really enjoyed the day engaging with attendees, sharing information about our training programmes and finding out about other opportunities, activities, and support available within the community.

FUNDING NEWS!
We’re delighted to have received £4,875 from One City Trust to launch our exciting new Boost Bags creative project!
Building on our very successful pilot photography project, our trainees will use their own images to design, create and sell environmentally friendly tote bags, developing creative, digital, retail and teamwork skills along the way.
Positively, the income generated from the sale of bag-for-life Boost Bags will help support our Boost Box initiative, providing essential items to local people experiencing hardship.
A huge thank you to One City Trust for believing in our trainees and helping us turn creativity into opportunity, inclusion and community impact. We were delighted to attend the City Chambers, at Edinburgh Council, on Friday, to formally accept our award.
Skills. Confidence. Creativity. Community.
That’s what being All Together is all about.
