Colla Castellera d'Edinburgh

Colla Castellera d'Edinburgh We are a team or "Colla" of Castellers based in Edinburgh. A castell is a human tower built traditionally in festivals at many locations within Catalonia.

At these festivals, several colles castelleres or teams often succeed in building and dismantling a tower's structure. On November 16, 2010, castells were declared by UNESCO to be amongst the Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.

What a fantastic diada, surrounded by the best vibes and even better people. 💙♥️

A huge thank you to every single Cardat who has worked so hard throughout this season. Every rehearsal, every effort, and every smile made this day possible. And thank you to all our supporters and everyone who came to watch and cheer us on, you made the atmosphere unforgettable.

A special shout-out to our musicians for the wonderful tunes, the surprises, and for filling the day with so much energy. 🎶

And a very special thank you to . Not only for all your help in the pinya that made our castells possible, but also for bringing such friendly, positive energy throughout the whole weekend. It truly felt like celebrating with family.

🔵 Colla Castellera d'Edinburgh

🕞 3:30 PM Music Parade
from the Princes Street Gardens entrance (Waverley Bridge)

🕓 4:00 PM Human Towers Performance
at The Mound Precinct (next to Scottish National Gallery)

Castells (human towers) are a unique Catalan tradition recognised by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage. Come and experience the excitement, teamwork and community spirit of this incredible cultural tradition.
