Colla Castellera d'Edinburgh

Colla Castellera d'Edinburgh We are a team or "Colla" of Castellers based in Edinburgh. A castell is a human tower built traditionally in festivals at many locations within Catalonia.

At these festivals, several colles castelleres or teams often succeed in building and dismantling a tower's structure. On November 16, 2010, castells were declared by UNESCO to be amongst the Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.

Join us on 27 June for a spectacular Catalan Castells performance at The Mound Precinct.

Featuring:
🔴 Castellers de Sarrià (Barcelona)
🔵 Colla Castellera d'Edinburgh

🕞 3:30 PM Music Parade
from the Princes Street Gardens entrance (Waverley Bridge)

🕓 4:00 PM Human Towers Performance
at The Mound Precinct (next to Scottish National Gallery)

Castells (human towers) are a unique Catalan tradition recognised by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage. Come and experience the excitement, teamwork and community spirit of this incredible cultural tradition.

We're incredibly proud of this performance at . None of it would have been possible without the effort, commitment, and teamwork of every cardat, supporter, friend, and local who stepped up to help in the pinya throughout the day 💙

What an incredible performance with our amazing hosts, , we celebrated their 1st diada 🎉

We felt so welcomed and loved, and had an incredible time together.

We performed:
• 2x pd4
• 3d6 aco
• 3d6 agulla aco (first time ever)
• 2d6 till dosos
• Castells de germanor 💙💚

A great sign of the colla’s health and the exciting performances still to come, we are ready! 🔥
