We are delighted to announce our Women in Heritage event, in honour of women’s history month. Since 1987, Women’s History Month has been observed in March, honouring women’s contributions that are often overlooked in history books and spotlights gender inequality. The observance coincides with International Women’s Day on the 8th of March.

The event will take place as a panel, with sessions focusing on academia, research, and the public sector. The session would include themes focusing on perceptions of women in academia, open “unwritten rules” of academia, diversifying historical narratives, commercial archaeology as a (traditionally) male-dominated field and “Imposter syndrome”.

Time: 4pm-6pm Usha Kasera Lecture Room, Old College.

Please come along! A drinks reception will be held afterwards in the Jim MacMillan Room (postgraduate common room) 1.31, Doorway 4, HCA from 6-8pm.

This is a non-ticketed and free event.
