Gorgie Dalry Community Council Welcome to the Gorgie Dalry Community Council page! Everyone is welcome!

We represent the interests of residents in Gorgie and Dalry in Edinburgh.(We are not part of Edinburgh Council) Our meetings are at 7-9pm on the first Monday of every month, ask for details if interested Our members are volunteers and have a wide range of interests and skills; whether you want to promote a community activity or are concerned about an issue which affects local residents, we can either help you or put you in touch with someone who can! We have recently been involved in many local issues such as the potential closure of Dalry Swim Centre, the hotel and office development at Haymarket and student flats in Gorgie, Dalry and Slateford. If you want to get more involved in your community, or you’d like support dealing with the problems of living in the city (ie noise, litter, parking, anti-social behaviour, etc), then please come and join us.

Our free family friendly event is designed for kinship carers, with a range of community partners on hand to share useful info on support services and family activities available across Edinburgh.

⏰ You can drop-in anytime between 12.30pm and 3.30pm. Advance booking is highly recommended to access the Stadium.

Donate your pre-loved furniture and homeware in Edinburgh today!

We divert over 27,000 items of furniture from being wasted every year and raise funds to help those experiencing homelessness.

Whether you can come down yourself or need a collection booked for larger items, here is the lowdown!

We can take most good condition furniture and homeware plus:

Retro items
Antique items
Books
Frames
Kitchen appliances
Electrical items such as TVs
Rugs
CDs 💿 DVDs
Cushions
Curtains
Items for our gift corner

Our donation zone is to the right of the shop, beside our large car park, and is open 9am to 4pm every day.

(Please note: The store is open until 4:45pm but we cannot process any donations after 4pm)

A wee reminder 🔔

Our Christmas corner is always very popular with people looking for affordable, sustainable and characterful decorations.

Last year we had absolutely heaps of gorgeous decorations and they sold out in 2 weeks!

Next time you are in the attic, please think of us! Many charities can’t take old Christmas decorations - we do! 🫶

Pop by 7 days, park in our large car park any time between 9am and 4pm and we will gladly take it all off your hands!
